Camps =P

What camps are people goin' to this summer? Or are you just goin' to hang out without any set plans?

I'm going to Georgia to see some of my family sometime later this month. I've got Karate Camp for two weeks spread out. I also am going to Opequon Quaker Camp where you get to stay in a cabin for however many weeks. This year, I'm staying for two. A total of four weeks off, and I'm good.

Uh... does hole up in school campus nearly everyday for the rest of the summer, count? Because that's what I'm doing right now.

Uh... I'm working for my step-dad this Summer. So I can get some money. I'm leaving for three weeks tomorrow. He lives up in S.C., by the way. So I won't do anything but work, work, work. On the plus side. I get paid around $150 a week. So staying for three weeks I'll have a good amount of money when I come back. I already know what I'm gonna buy. A mini iPod and a new skateboard. And with what money I have left over, I'll probably save it.

I'm going to stay at my house, watch T.V., play video games, post on random internet forums, have my friends over, and most of all, sleep.

I'm getting a job. I'm not gonna spend this summer like I did all the others as I'd like to get some things for myself, notebly, a bass guitar.

Heh... camp... I have never really went to camp. I instead have SUMMER SCHOOL!!! *rejoices* ... But I did do something like it, where I went to the keys on a school feild trip and we stayed at this really cool place called "SeaCamp" and we stayed in rooms with no AC and 4 beds and we went wading in the really clear water of the Keys... it was accually lots of fun...

I'm not going to any Camps this year. I was about to, but I passed the deadline for turning in the registration form, so I couldn't go. I am going on a few trips with my Youth Group, but It's not Camp. We're going to Cedar Point, Chicago and a few other places. But that's it for my summer.

My mother signed me up for a camp without my consent. She's been doing that a lot lately. I remember distincly that I was in the bathroom when she came up to the door and asked if I wanted to go to *Somethingsomething* camp this year. I answered, "No" and she walked away. Skip ahead a few weeks, and she tells me that night I have a meeting for *Somethingsomething* camp, and I better go and enjoy it. Very annoying.

That's the only camp, though. I don't want to go so badly. She's going to try and force me to go on my birthday, but I'll make sure that doesn't work.

I'm not going to any camps, that I know of. My brother tried to get me to go to this one camp, but I declined, because my cousin wouldn't go with me.

Well, I have already been to Anime Central in Chicago, and to Destin, Florida this summer. I am planning to go to some baseball games if I can. And, I am going to try to get a job.

Other than that, I am just going to sit around and do nothing. ^-^

I have to work most of the summer... Then I go to a national developpement camp on the Whistler Glacier for 2weeks.. lookin forward to it

I'm thinking about going to my cousins wrestlingcamp this summer but it'll probably only be for a day or something (to look at the boys :p)

What exactly are camps?
I dont have any plans for summer (as always), just decide what I want to do on each day as it comes. I will probably do lots of swimming, watch some tv, play lots of games (and hope I dont die for a good 20 years, thus having my entire life wasted on pointless crap)

Camps- Sometimes extremely boring, sometimes extremely fun places you stay at for an extended period of time without your parents. Usually has some sort of theme to it... Art, Boyscouts... that kind of thing...

Like every year since I was eight year old, I'll be going to the Summer Project. Though it doesn't really qualify as a camp. It's on like 3 times a day for two weeks, and you have a choice to go each session, but they don't let you leave when it's in session. I'm suprised they let me in, as to enter you're meant to be 8-13 years old, depending on your age by August 31st. Wasn't it amazing how my birthday is August 30th (14). Anyway, I'll also go to a swimming centre there, and I forgot where else I was going to go.

Also, I'll probably be at the beach for the most part of the summer, basically I'll be hanging around all summer.

That all sounds pretty cool. I've always had a lot of different stuff planned out for summer, and not much time to just relax. This is my first thread on the site, and I guess it was a big success! My 22 year old brother is going to try the Appalaichian Trail (hope I spelled that right). My dad says that he's running away from getting a job, so I guess it's cool that some of you actually want to have one this summer. He's going from north to south. A very small percentage of people make it south to north, even less from north to south.O_o

Camps, 2 horse ones and girl scout camp is all I'm doing. Then it's gamecube and computer! That's probably it.

I just had volleyball camp two weeks ago and in three weeks I go to Girl scout camp with Inuyasha91.

Wow... you guys seem to be having fun this summer. My plans: find job, get volunteer hours, and schedule job and volunteering around my three babysitting jobs (my hopes is that if I get a real job, then the people I babysit for will finally get a different sitter and they wont need me, as I've been told...). Around all of that, I plan on staying cool at the beach, go to some kind of park... or something... hang with buddies, and spend time on the computer while watching TV or playing video games.

Well, I'm not really going to camp, I'm working it. Its a camp for little kids to go to to be disciplined, compete, work out, obstacle courses, its sort of like a military camp but not exactly, and I help out and keep the kids in line. The pay is not bad though.

I am not going to a camp or going on vacation. Is all I really have planned is hanging out and spending some time on the Internet or playing video games.
