Ninja vs. Pirates

all right, this is a long pondered question, who would win in a fight, a ninja or a pirate? there is much debate on this subject at my school and sadly most people choose pirates... i myself believe that a ninja would win, but i will elaborate later. now who do you chooose?

before you answer, here are the conditions:

1. both the ninja and pirate are avant garde (at the height of their training)
2. they have access to all weapons in their arsenal (they dont carry them it would too much to carry).
3. the arena is a large room with no obstacles.

i do this to ensure that there would be no favoritism for either side on the battlefield, they both start off equal.

I'd agree with you and say the ninja, 'coz ninjas can do all those cool stunts, and I don't know if pirates can.

I have one question.

What type of land?

It's obvious that ninjas would win. Think about it: Ninjas have been trainned for fighting and winning. Pirates on the other hand, excel in theivery. Pirates can do some sword-fighting, but I'd like to see a pirate with the same stamina and agility of a ninja.

I think the ninja would win because it's more skilled than the pirate (but i prefer pirates over ninjas anyway....)

Personally I like 'em. Most folks I've heard comment on the whole "Ninja vs. Pirate" issue favor the ninja. Though in competition between the two, I'd have to say the ninja would win. The ninja could pretend to be a pirate & then use the literal knife in the dark after gaining the pirate's trust.

Pirate ninjas huh? Hmm. Yeah that would pwn all.

What a strange thread. I think a ninja would win. A ninja could back flip over the pirate and stab him in the back. All a pirate could do is woddle along on his wooden leg!

Ninja. The pirate wouldn't stand an ice cubes chance in hell. Pirates, no matter what you've heard, were not great fighers. The best ones would be former British naval officers that had deserted in favour of the life of piracy, and even that comes nowhere near the training a ninja would have. The only concievable way the pirate would win is if by some magical chance they got a shot off and actually hit the ninja. Pirates didn't get their status by being great fighters, they would travel in large numbers and use fear rather than force to get their targets to surrender.

But on topic, it really truely depends.

Ninja's are stealthy, and very equipped in elite battle. But a pirate is in some cases presumed to be more barbaric. Although, why do you think pirates were feared so much long ago? They were feared because they were rutheless, and many were very clever in the art of cheeting and theivery. So they had to have some brains.

Now, a Ninja, i have always pictured to be more solitary...but i could be wrong. Ninja's have more civilized and effective ways of fighting, and usually do all of the dirty work.

But who would win? Like i said...it depends. Either. You cant say this person or this perosn would win, because any prediction of the future is an opinion.......but lets use our common sense. If a pirate mob had access to ten 100 thousand pound cannons, then i do think they would blow the ninjas to kingdom come. So, basically, pirates are ruthless, the go by no rules, and ninjas, are at the point were they are so elite that they can fight agianst somthing as barbaric as a pirate.

Ninjas are skilled fighters with necessary equipment and elite courage to take on anything, just like DekuQueen said. However, Pirates have the trait of deception and rage.

If you think about it, It's sort of like Ganon and Link in a way. Ganon, the deceptive advesary to Link which holds the Triforce of Power, the Triforce piece of rage, vigor etc. Link, the skilled swordsman has all of the necessary equipment and courage to undertake Ganon. Ganon always tricks Link into something, and Link always fights him at the end. Link=Ninja Ganon=Pirate

Ninjas have an aerial and speed advantage while Pirates have power and decepitve advantage. I am undecided at this point. I really have no clue who would win. Ninjas have a better chance of winning, but if you think about it, pirates do also.

I think a ninja would win becuase they can jump around whereas a pirate usually can't. It also depends on if one is heavier than the other, but in most cases the ninja is almost sure to win.

I'd say that ninjas would win because they move fast and specialize in stealth which would allow them to sneak up on pirates.

Ninjas in a pure sword fight, because Ninjas are about as powerful but more agile. Pirates have guns and cannons which give them an unfair advantage if they get to use them.

I'm with you on the ninja. A ninja is trained to fight under any circumstances and to use everything around them to their advantage. A pirate on the other hand, isn't really trained to do much but steal...

Pirates, of course.

Hmmm interesting.... I think a pirate would win a fight against a ninja. Think about it, you need brains and brawn to defeat a ninja. A pirate could use fear to get inside the enemy's head. And yes I know ninja's can run jump dash...etc. blah blah blah. And another thing I saw some people say that it would be unfair because a pirate used guns or cannons. Well just a little update for y'all... pirates do use swords!! When the pirate uses fear to freeze the enemy he just uses his head. Shoot him in the leg and if he's still moving (which won't be very fast) run up there a give a heavy blow to the stomach with a machete or sword, or knock him out with a two fisted swing to the neck. Easy as that.

And yes you guys can give me crap for saying that, but that's my opinion.
