Do you use Skype?

This might not be a discussion, but it wouldn't fit in any other thread (that people pay attention to).

Do you use Skype?
Skype is a voice-chat program, it is also known for being able to call to normal phones (allthough it costs).
It works kind of like MSN, AIM etc. but it's voice-chatting.

So what I'm wondering is, do anyone else here use it? it would be fun to know, because it would make communitcation with other ZUers much more fun.

Yeah, I uses Skype a long time ago. It's mostly for long-distance call to relatives just so that I won't have to pay for anything since it's free.

So its like a voiceIP?

uno: Yeah I know it's made by the guys who made kazaa. That doesn't really make it bad. Kazaa was awesome until there got better alternatives (and until they started with spyware.) Skype is proved spyware free, so I see no problem with it.

My older sister uses Skype, i tried it too, no offense but it's really bad, but thats only my opinion. :moodswing

How is it really bad? In what way? Sometimes, your computer has to be slightly faster and more powerful to run Skype smoothly. Over the year that I've used it, there is absolutely no distortion or disconnection while having an internet microphone chat with my relatives on the other side of the world.

Kazza was awsome in its younger days. I used it all the time..... then spyware and record companys came along.

Yes and no. Its installed, but only use it occasionally. Yami2k4.

Nope, I don't use Skype as I'm happy to use TeamSpeak for all my online conversations. I currently use it near enough every night these days to keep up to date on certain matters online.

No, I don't use it. I have no mic. I'll be getting one soon, and I'll probably download Skype. Since its free, and all that Jazz.

Never used Skype before. I DO use Yahoo Messenger's voice system though, and it seems pretty stable. I've only ever used it twice though, I'm barely social enough for regular chatrooms. =p
