Dual Monitor Problem
Well I don't expect many on here to know how to fix my problem, but I have tired everything else so I might as well see what you people know:
My computer has an onboard ProSavage S3 32 MB graphics. It is horrible for gaming, but not bad for regular stuff. I got an Nvidia GeForce MX 420 64 MB AGP card to use instead, nothing special at all. I have been running with the Nvidia for a while and then came across a new monitor. Now I have tried to set up dual monitors but my ProSavage card doesn't show up in the hardware management. I have tried updating drivers, booting with nothing plugged into the Nvidia card, going through the BIOS, almost everything that I can think of. If you have an suggestions as to what to do feel free to post here. I will try anything once, maybe even twice, to get the onboard graphics recognized. Or if you can tell me a way to enable the onboard without going through the Device Manager that could possibly work too.

Re: Dual Monitor Problem
In most motherboards, the integrated video is disabled when a card is plugged into the AGP slot. Chances are, the only way to have both enabled at once will require some serious modding.

Re: Dual Monitor Problem
I have a MX 420 as well, and I got a dual monitor display with my TV using the TV out. Best cheapest option for a dual monitor set up is to get a cheap pci-graphics card with two monitor out puts.

Re: Dual Monitor Problem
Yup Yami is right you need a special PCI Dual monitor out put, you cant use int video output and a video card at the same time, Your Nvidia is just over rideing the Int S3 Sometimes that gets confuseing with windows 98/ME. I would buy a cheap 256Mb Dual output graphics card that means about 128mb per monitor. ATI or something.

Re: Dual Monitor Problem
What you could do is get another graphics card that has two monitor outputs. Most cards nowadays have these. Depends on how much you want to spend though.
