Rap Artists-Getting Arrested for Being Black?

This is really pissing me off. I've been watching shows on this, and when I heard it, it really made me angry. Rappers, like C-Murder for example, got arrested. C-Murder was arrested for being at a club during a shoot-out at the same place, and from his name and lyrics. He did nothing, and he never had a fair trial! Police and investigators read his lyrics, and it was talking about a similar incident like the shoot-out. I don't think that a rapper should be arrested for his name, and I think the lyrics and the shoot out was just a mere coincidence. I don't think it was because of that, though. I think people are just racists, and they want to get rid of black rappers, because they don't want them to be in the music business.

Other rappers are being stalked by people, too, so that the people can find a stupid reason for arresting them. That is plain wrong. No one deserves that. I would arrest the people trying to ruin the rappers' careers, because the rappers are black. I just don't like that. There should be a law enforced to prevent such a thing. Does anyone agree with me?

it not only rap artist, but i get what ur saying. one of the main reason police does this is so that not to many people will get influenced by multi colored artist and try to become famous. i heard this in the tv, and my parents say its not educational

Sadly, even with laws, people will still find ways to go through the law with loopholes and things like that. I may not like rap because of it's lyrics, but that is never a reason to wrongfully accuse a person. Though the rappers could sue for stalking because stalking is illegal. If that starts up, those people will stop in a blink of an eye, or lose so much money that they can't stalk.

Maybe if rappers stopped claiming to be hardcore criminals the cops wouldn't target them? Having a name like 'C-Murder' doesn't do any favors for you, either.

Yah that was exactly what Im thinking...All of the claim to be such bad asses and you know what? Some of them might be beleived.

Most Cops arent like that. They do what they have to do to uphold the law. If they feel that there is probable cause that this guy did it, then they have the juristiction to arrest the man.

I hate rappers. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Perhaps the Police men are biased against rappers, rather then blacks?

Me stating my opinion on rappers led up to my following point. Whether it was a question that someone specifically stated is irrelevant.

Yep. You are absolutely right. There's a huge conspiracy arranged by Republican hicks to make sure only country gets on the airwaves, and everybody knows how much Republican hicks hate black people. It all starts with George Bush, who hires racist cabinet members (nevermind Condoleeza Rice, she doesn't exist) and it follows a domino line to make sure only cracker-loving cops get hired who plant drugs on rich and successful African-American rappers, because they are jealous of all their money and hos.

I do agree with the whole rappers thinking they are tough killers. When you do something so blatantly stupid as say you can kill people and smoke all the illegal junk you want, you actually do deserve to be watched over by the cops. I thought there were literal stalkers bothering rappers, then it's wrong but if cops have probable cause, all the complaining in the world won't get you anything. Simple rule: Don't want to be bothered by cops, stop saying you can kill people and do drugs and not get away with it. Common sense when you think about it really.

If you go around with a name like his rapping about commiting crimes, people may be more likely to accuse you of commiting crimes. It's only human nature. That, and what L-o-S said.

Hahaha. Do you really think that? They once beat up a black man for jaywalking. I think they are out to get any suspicous looking characters - white or black. As mentioned earlier, rappers acting hardcore, threatening cops, doesnt help them either.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that so many people worship rappers who affiliate themselves with drugs, prostitution, illegal operations, gang violence, murder, etc., and yet when one of them is actually charged with something they claim to be doing in the first place, all the fans suddenly get pissed off?

You guys, as well as America itself, always bring in the race issue. How in the hell can it be based on race? So let me guess, just because one cop is racist, the entire police force is racist (including the black and hispanic cops) and the judge as well as the lawyers (including his own lawyer) is racist.

You know, even if the cop was racist, you would need a hell of a lot more racist people to get the guy tried. I personally hate rappers.

And why not assume that a rapper is a suspect? There music is pretty much evidence that they're not exactly number one citenzen.

The word "racist" has become a label now. Whenever a minority is in trouble with the law, and there's absolutely nothing he can do, he starts calling people "racist". I highly doubt that he was arrested for being black.

Personally, no offense to those who like rap music, but I think rap music is stupid. It's always about the same thing: "I have more money than you" or "I have nicer cars than you" or "I have better looking women than you" so why listen to music where the guy is full of himself? Plus, there is absolutely no talent behind rap music. They just turn on a beat on a computer that goes unchanged until the end of the song (or they take the beat of a really old song) then the guy just talks. Doesn't even sing, he just talks. And it doesn't even have to rhyme properly. Look at the song "Back that thing up" the only reason it rhymes is because (most of the time) he says "yeah" at the end of every sentence.
