Geek?

I was thinking a couple of days ago, and I realized something: I'm a geek. I know most of the timeline of the Star Wars movies (including the six that wont be made) I spend hours trying to figure out timelines in video games, and the rest of my time I usually spend playing them, or posting about them here. So, I am a geek. Anyone else out there want to come clean?

I am definetaly a Geek , a carry a Tolkien encyclopedia with me, I give a kid lessons about Tolkien's mythology etc.... I am basically a Tolkien Geek.

I'm more of the obsessed kind of geek. I like to research on things and learn more about things... and I like to collect things. But I'm still half popular and half normal at school, so I'm not all that much considered a geek, but in a since I am.

FYI: We already have a thread much like this one called "What is your social class?, so I'd suggest you refrain from posting in here, and move the discussion over there.

Oh gee, where should I start. Ok, I take time to collect info on things about games, notice the sometimes unnoticed, play games way to much, and those that I play and like, i'm way to good at for it to be healthy.

The only site I've ever seen with talk of so-called six more episodes of Star Wars is supershadow.com, which is a website consisting of nearly complete B.S. Unless, you read plots of six different episodes on something like starwars.com or theforce.net, I wouldn't believe any of it.

As for me, I'm a Zelda geek. I love coming up with timeline theories and, if I can, talk about a lot.

Well, there really are 6 other movie scripts. Lucas actually wrote them all in the 60's and 70's, including episodes 1-3.

It all depends on your definition of "geek". I guess you could consider me a Zelda and LotR geek, but that would depend on your point of view.

So you're saying that liking to examine video games is geeky? Then guess what - practically everybody on this Forum would be considered a geek by that definition. Everybody has an obsession, and I think it's wrong to brand someone as a geek just for that.

There are some people who view me as geeky (mostly the popular people) but I don't really care what they think anyway. My friends accept me, and that's what really counts. I do what I like, so if someone's got a problem with that - well, then, screw them. I don't care.

Why the hell would I want to stereotype myself?

That is for other people to do.
