5 things I hate and love about work.

Many of you know that I work at the local arcade in my area. After these few months I've I have finally decided what I hate and love about the job.

Hate list.
1. Customers who want five cent coins changed...they slow up the change counter.
2. Clean the toilets at the end of the shift.
3. Working in the laser tag maze by myself with the black lights on...it is just a bit freaky.
4. Tokyo wars permenant out of orderness
5. Zone arcade credit system not working on machines.

Love list.
1. Giving away the large redemption prizes
2. Getting free laser tag and arcade games.
3. I get paid seven dollars more an hour then people with similar employeement
4. Knowing how to stop an out of order problem by kicking the machine in the right place.
5. Being considered responsible enough to be trusted with the key.

So what do you you love/hate about work or school?

I work at my Local Hockey arena (Winnipeg Arena).

Hate:
1. Stupid Customers
2. Cleaning
3. Finding out I have to work in the worst place possible
4. Everyone but me taking a break
5. Having to wean an apron

Love:
1. Pay
2. I can go almost anywhere in the building
3. My step dad gives me free food (there is a Tim Hortons in the arena, and he manages it).
4. 50% off all food
5. Crazy People

I LOVE HOCKEY! I would love to work there! My dad is a hockey coach, so i grew up around it, but I don't play.


I don't have a job I am too young.

Well im a student so Ill do School:
Hate:
1. Reading books for themes
2. Preps and Jocks being annoying
3. Having to run 2 miles in 20 minutes 7 times
4. The sorry excuse for food
5. Getting up early

Love:
1. Seeing/making out with/holding/cuddling with/doing other things with my girlfriend
2. Seeing friends
3. T3 Internet
4. Hour long lunch
5. German

Hmm.. Studentness.

Hate:
1. School
2. Waking up so early

4. My Teacher

Love:
1. Recess
2. My friends

I work in a cd store.

Hate:

1. putting stock out
2. stocktake
3. cleaning every single cd
4. when the computers go down
5: not getting paid at lunchtime
6. people who come in and say "do you know that song that goes like this...."

Love:

1. Music
2. money
3. $9.50/hr
4. discount cd's
5. crazy people who come into the store not knowing what they want

There may be many hates about the line of work i am in but it is fun.

Okay, here's my list. I deliver pamphlets on the weekend.

Hate:

- Folding the stupid things
- Being paid...abysmally
- Dogs
- Walking
- The really heavy load I have to carry (pamphlets don't seem like they'd weight much, but when you're lugging around a thousand of 'em, things get tough on the ol' shoulders)

Love:

- Getting paid what meagre amount I do get paid
- Nothing else

I work in a department store, called Hecht's.

Hate list:
1. Customers who annoy me and act stupid. They see me working in my area with a name tag on and they ask this dumb question all the time, "Excuse me, do you work here?"
2. Customers who don't bring coupons and beggin one from us.
3. Customers who grab stuff and merchandise and lay them everywhere out of place.
4. Snapping back which means making the department 100% all clean and neat.
5. Days that the store manager is working. She is a jerk and everyone hates her.

Love list:
1. Opening Instant Credits. We make customers to open a store charge and when we do, we get cash out of the register as a reward. Highest they give is 5 bucks. ^^
2. Markdowns. I love marking down prices instead of standing beside the cash register.
3. Mystery shops. Got to be careful about that.
4. Getting paid of course.
5. Lunch hours, so I can get away from the crazy people.

I work at a gas station called Mobil:

Hate:
1)Other people who don't do anything
2)Irritable customers who hate the idea of pre-paying for gas
3)Rude customers who don't believe in lines
4)People who lodge gas caps in the nozzles and blames ME for it
5)*can't think of at moment*

Love:
1)4 hours stocking the cooler. You think that would be hate, but I like spending time in there.
2)The register. I love technology and it's touch screen
3)I don't do anything for like 1/2 my shift.
4)I do 2 overnights, where I don't have to do anything. I play games and listen to music all night.
5)Weekend days off. Weekend nights at work.

A theatre called Harkins. =P

Hate:
1 - Customers who treat you like ****. Any question you ask them is a stupid one. They can really ruin your fragile good mood.
2 - Working Door. The job where you tear tickets. It's unbearably boring.
3 - Working past midnight.
4 - Cleaning poppers. They have to be cleaned HOT. Burns like hell. I usually ask someone else to do it or make sure I'm preoccupied before someone asks me to.
5 - Crap for pay, crap for hours. I've only worked two days a week the past few weeks and I only make $5.50 an hour. I need money for travel expenses and personal spending, a $150 paycheck every two weeks won't cover that as well as I'd like it to.

Love:
1 - Customers who are friendly and joke around with you. I enjoy the pleasant ones.
2 - The managers. I swear, they are some of the nicest people I've ever met.
3 - Free movies, soda and popcorn. =P
4 - ...
5 - ...... Err. Yeah. Nothing else.

We can do school? Okay!


HATE:
1.People who stand at my locker all day and call me 'Superwoman'
2.Science. The teacher thinks that I am never listening.
3.Some guy who is the most popular guy at school called 'Nike' who thinks he is the hottest man alive even though he is like, 4 feet and has gigantic ears.
4.My brother is the most popular guy in his grade (8th) so if I ever needed to talk to him, he just walks away pretending he didn't hear me even though everyone knows that I am his little sister.
5.All of my 'friends' that are nice to me but really do hate my guts.


LOVE:
1.Social Studies. The Teacher is also my homeroom teacher and he is so COOL! He is really nice to.
2.Math. Math is really fun! we do like, 6 random problems that is only on one paper, then we talk the rest of class about random stuff.
3.Getting an education so then I can get a full time job
4.Always one day closer to Summer.
5.Homeroom where I get to read for an hour :razz:

I work for a trucking company called Gemi Trucking Inc.

Hate
Having to deal with the idiot truck drivers.
Having to wake up early everyday to be at work by 8:30.
Mondays and Tuesdays I work til 5:00 in the afternoon.
I have the coffee machine in my office so everyone comes in here in the mornings to get there coffee and annoy me in the process.
Being given new things to do while I'm struggling to get my current work load done.

Like
Getting paid.
Weekends off.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays I only work til noon.
I have my own office at the opposite end of the building away from everyone. See.
An hour lunch break.

Hmm... work.

What I hate about it:
1) My boss, he's can be a drunk jackass sometimes and when he is, he can get pretty pissed off. He'll start yelling and swearing at you if you do something wrong.
2) The lazy people who work there.
3) The crappy customers who would do anything just to get $1 off their purhase.
4) Having to clean everything every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
5) When people don't do their jobs, so I have to make up for theirs AND do my part all before closing time.
6) How everyone talks crap about each other behind their backs. My boss is usually the one who initiates it.
7) That damn customer who walks in 3 mins before we close.

What I like:
1) The non-crappy people who know how to have fun.
2) The uber slow days when they let me off early.
3) The pay.
4) Tips!
5) aand that's it.

As you can see, I hate work more than I like it.

School--

Hate
-Fu**** up people who think that they are the coolest people alive, when everyone but their friends (who are the same) hate them
-Teachers who wait till there is like one minute till the bell rings, THEN gives the 5 page homework assignment! sp?
-teachers that make us read the textbook
-teachers who actually watch what you are doing
-basically teachers in general.
