Re: Japan

Sure, I've got a good ten million dollars in the bank, would you like one or perhaps two?

Right..

I've heard about this thing called "getting a job", which seems to be the way most people acquire their money. Might want to look in to that. Good luck.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You can't expect people to donate for an unworthy cause. What's in it for us? Lars asks for donations to keep the site up. Since we love Zelda, and ZU, we donate because we want the site to stay alive. As for you and your friend there...pffft good luck. If you go to Japan, what do we (the charitable people) get out of it? Nothing. And if you say "The gratifying feeling of helping a person other than yourself" then that's just a load of crud. You want the money to just gratify yourself, not for others. There are plenty of organizations that deserve our charity more than you do such as "March of Dimes" & "Jimmy Fund" just to name a few. If you want to go to Japan, get a job.

That was really mean but he does have a point you need to get a job.

How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you,
When it's me I can't forgive?

Re: Japan

I wouldn't say Lars was mean in his statement, but it is just very honest. You can't go begging throughout your life asking for money to fly off to faroff places in the world.

I just looked at your birthday in your profile, and I'm figuring you may be too young to get a job. You know what that means? Too young to go traveling like that. You only mention going with your one friend. I say save up what little you may have from allowances, get a job when you are older, and plan a dream trip of your life.

Re: Japan

I don't have enough money for a car, but I'll send you a check to go on a fancy vacation in Japan.

Get a job. If you think you can freeload off other people for the rest of your life, you've got another thing coming. "Unemployment" isn't a job, either.

Quote:
Bum:
* A homeless person, or more generally, a person of little moral worth
* In modern usage, the term "bum" is considered highly derogatory
* In hobo culture, the term "bum" referred specifically to a homeless person who does not work or travel, as opposed to a hobo, who was an itinerant, working homeless person
* To cadge, beg, or borrow

Re: Japan

Well seeing how you're not older enough to get a job, then you only have a few alternatives, how about doing paper rounds for years, and years. You're view on Japan is probably not really based on reality. In reality Japan is probably not the paradise you're hoping for. There's no way you're going anywhere, unless you tag along with your parents. You're simply too young.

Re: Japan

Okay, everyone, he wasn't asking you to donate money. And there is no need to flame and be rude. He asked us to help out, not donate money. There are other ways to help others get money besides donate money like give them advice on saving money and getting a job.

Re: Japan

Honestly, why would you want to go to Japan? If you just cant wait for a videogame, just get the game of of ebay and get a mod for your gamecube. We get all the stuff worthwhile from Japan. Just 3 months later.
