This thread is for all of us to put our most memorable vacations. Here is my most memorable vacastion.
During summer of 2001 I went with one of my friends and his grandparents to Orlando, Fl. We went to Universal Studios. It was a blast they have some of the best rollercoasters ever. We stayed there for 3 days and then we went to Disney World. It was more laid back but still really fun. They had a whole lot of people at both Theme Parks. Probably 100's which is the reason I never want to go back unless I take my kids someday . But what made it really fun is that I was with one of my friends. If I had gone with my parents I probably would not like it as much. My mom or dad would not do any of those rides .But any way just post your most memorable vacation. I look forward to reading them zdragon354.................

Re: Favorite Vacation
My favorite vacation was the summer between my junior and senior years in high school. My best freind had just graduated, and his parents moved to las vegas that summer, but he spent the whole summer with me back in Minnesota at my Mom's house. As summer drew to a close we packed up the last of the stuff from his parents old garage on the back of a flat bed pickup, and drove it all to Vegas. the drive took about 48 hours including stopping to sleep and eat, and we arrived in vegas just as the sun set. I spent a week and a half there staying with his parents in an apartment they had while they searched for a house. and I got to go house hunting with them and see all the residential neighborhoods of las vegas. We aslo took in all the sites, and i went with him to orientationat UNLV, and pretended i was an incoming freshmen.
When my time is veags was over i said good bye to my best friend a flew to Seatle to meet my brother who was getting out of the navy the next week and coming hoome to Minnesota. I spent about 6 days in seatle and saw the ocean for the first time, and then we drove back to Minnesota in about a day and a half of non-stopp driving. when i got home i was brok-as-a-joke and about to start my senior year in high school, which i pretty much slept through and barely graduated. I had been out and seen the world, and i knoew that high school was just a joke, all you have to do is show up enough times and they pass you. Before this trip i had never left the midwest, in fact I had only been to one state that didn't border on my home state. But i saw the desert, the grand canyon, the Rockies, and the ocean, i flew in a plane for the first time, and i touched 12 states in two weeks or so. I said good bye to m best friend, and really found alot out about my self. ~Bing

Re: Favorite Vacation
When I went to Japan no doubt. But then again, I've been to the Bahama's, Costa Rica, Amsterdam and Austrailia so I really can't choose I guess.
When I went to Japan I felt so 1337. I was in the place of my dreams. I of course went to various anime shops and bought cells, posters, you name it. I learned a few japanese words so I could make my way around Tokyo and Osaka being to say important things like, "I'm staying in this hotel" or "Where is the restroom?" and all. I ate at some really good resturaunts in Tokyo, but man it was CROWDED. But atleast the crab rolls were good. Overall, it took me almost a year to plan this trip, and I had to work extra hard to get the money. (I have friends that give me money to work) and of course the yen was a pain in the ass to get. But overall, I had an excellent trip. I can't believe my parents would let me go to Tokyo when I was 13 though...They crazy.

Re: Favorite Vacation
I've only ever been back to my homeland Libya for vacation. And I must say, I doubt I'd find a better holiday resort ever
. Apart from all my relatives living there, the summer of 2004 witnessed my stay in Libya for 7 weeks! I had the best time of my life . From snorkling in clear blue rocky beaches, galloping on my cousin's horse at night time or hanging out in my cousin's internet cafe and going online for free..it was truly awesome ^^.Even though I spent the morning hours of the last 4 weeks at our home monitoring the repairs, I had the evening to myself (7pm onwards). My dad and 2 older sisters had gone back to the Uk early so it was only mum, my younger sister and brother and I, wait, my older brother was there too. Mum and my younger 2 siblings spent the last 4 weeks in my dad's village, while I was given the keys to our house in Tripoli! imagine being in charge of a house for 4 weeks on your own? Of course, if I needed anything, I would pop into any of my relatives' houses hehe.But..I treasure every moment I spent in that holiday. I can still vivdly imagine the sight of the white sand beaches with the crystal clear water and the palm trees..*swoons*. Go to Libya.. ![]() |

Re: Favorite Vacation
Well.... last easter-holiday were pretty fun..
but I can't really write about that one.. My second most memorable vacation was last summer holiday when I went to Poland and Germany. The first time I actually were far away from Norway (except for sweden and denmark) We visited concentration-camps and learned alot about the world war II. We also had time to do fun things like shopping, making random germans on the street sing "Wer soll das bezahlen" while we were taping them with our videocamera etc. |

Re: Favorite Vacation
My favirote recent vactiaon was the one that I took up to Clevland for a robotics competition up there with my Robotics team, during Spring Break. I loved being in a big city that had some good attratcions a stone throw from my hotel such as Lake Erie, Tower Mall, and the Clevland Libaray.
But my faovrite of all time was when I was 5 and went to visit my grandparents in Flordia. I got to go to Disneyland and E.P.O.C.H all in 3 days. I think no more has to be said. ![]()

Re: Favorite Vacation
A few summers ago I went with my dad to New Hampshire. We hiked the White Mountains, that was awesome. Went to a few random small restraunt places that had really good food as well. One day we drove to Canada just to say we had been there and another we went through Maine. Fun times, awesome trip, deffanatly my best vacation.
