In here you can discuss on hacking.I'm not a hacker but yes as usual i opened my firewall today and got something kacking my TCP port so i got the chance to ban the IP.What are your views on hackers?I think there bad and yet stupid for what they do to computers,companys and all other stuff
If you think hacking may once need ti comein handy or why itys bad give a reason in this thread.I think hacking should NOT be done ever.When i found out about a hacker was trying to hack my TCP port today i traced them banned there IP and am going to report it.

Actually I can't think of one good reason for why hacking should be a good thing..

I'm just thinking that possibly you are becomming very paranoid about everything going on with your computer. It seems you have nothing but trobles.

Oh, and yes, I've banned IP's before. Not because of hackers, but because of spyware programs. *shrugs* All a daily part of interweb life.

What about crackers? Not sure if you've heard of them, but they are former hackers that now work for law enforcement agencies, or something like that. I forget what they do but their hacking helps them to catch criminals and stuff.

Most people think they know what hackers and crackers are, but most are wrong. I suggest you all read on www.wikipedia.org so you can really find out.

HACKERS SUCK... but can I hire a hacker to hack a hacker who's hacking this website?! Probably not... man, my position in a hacked website = lesser known final hope because I'm the final administrator there... so hacking for personal pleasure is WRONG and BAD and crap.

We will never need to hack. I don't know how to hack, and don't plan to learn. It's stupid and wrong and all it does is get you arrested if you steal identities and do hard time for comp. fraud!

Ip banning is the most helpful tool on anyones firewall dont have it i suggest u get it.............

First off, anyone claiming to have the ability to hack within this thread most likely, more then anything, can't do crap. Second off, hacking, for whatever reason, has been hyped so much recently, it isn't funny. Whoever was trying to "connect" to your TCP port was probably just a website or a windows service. I don't use a firewall at school, my computer is one 24/7, and nothing has ever been hacked, ever.

Myth: Hackers crawl the internet somehow managing to stumble upon people to hack.

Fact: They got your IP somehow, they didn't just pull it out of their butts. You probably exposed yourself somehow to them and pissed them off. Hackers, for the most part, hack sites, not individual computers. Sites are worth so much more and are more noticeable, and most hackers do it to become popular and show off.

Yeah, I used to get messages like that. I didn't know what to do with them. I just kinda let it go... there wasn't really anything valuable on my computer (except for maybe a few pictures) that they could get into.

If anybody here is now freaked out, there's a free firewall called "ZoneAlarm". You might check it out.

Phoenix Vaati, did you even possibly read what Fox posted above you? It should really help you understand the whole "Hacking" concept. You may just be a bit paranoid.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but please, take everyones advise. Read what everyone has replied to you in this thread, and take it into consideration. Thanks.

Some people are hired to learn to know how to hack into computers so that they can stop hackers. To stop them (hackers) you have to think like them! =)

Don't know how to hack, and I never will. I see no reason to hack into people's computers or sites. If people hack, it's because they're jealous.
