The Seven Sages VS. The Jedi Council

I was on the bus one day, I got bored and muh grey-matter got a thinkin'.

What would happen if the Seven Sages (Zelda Included) from OoT were put into battle against the Jedi Council from the Star Wars Prequels. Each side represent the best warriors and magic wielders from thier universes, but the two-cent question is, which side would win in this battle.

Jedi Council would win. They have lightsabers, and they could use mind tricks on the sages.

Jedi's always win. Plus, Jedi's are awesome while the sages are umm... An old guy, a little girl, a large rock man, a fish, two scary ladies, and a princess.

Sages would win, they have magic and probably use mind tricks on them and stuff. No one has seen what the Sages could do, I voted for sages.

I agree with Link777. They could even do to the sages what they did to Ganon. And I bet the sages poses powers that we don't know about that may pop up in a later game. So I'm voting for sages. *votes*

Jedi mind tricks only work on the weak minded (ahem, according to the movies), and I don’t think the Sages are weak minded. So that’s one thing the Jedi's DONT have going for them. But they DO have lightsabers. And, erm, after seeing Yoda in action, I think he himself, could probably wipe out the Sages. And if you............................................... .....OH DEAR GOD, I HAVE TOO MUCH FREE TIME ON MY HANDS.

I'd have to say Yoda would beat Darunia, athough, that would be a rather funny fight.

The Jedi would win, hands down! The sages have there evil smiting powers. The Jedi aren't evil. That's the Sith (and the guys in my sig, too). They don't need the Jedi Mind trick to beat the sages.

Jedi's win, they are more powerful, and can use the Force to reflect stuff like magic and power beams. Not surprised Sages are mostly voted at, since this is a Zelda forum.

Post it in a Star Wars forum and see the results.

The Jedi would whoop the Sages, it wouldn't even be a contest. The Jedi have lightsabers, and they are in touch with the force and can control it. Yoda could trample all of the Sages with little effort. And if they threw Mace Windu into the mix.... it'd just get ugly.

Sure the Jedi have lightsabers, and an army, and a couple hundred pounds on some of the sages, but have any of you seen the sages in action? Who knows? Maybe they can control the elements?

I tied it up, Jedis are just kewler in my opinion. But, its not that I dont like Zelda, the sages Ive never seen in action, plus I only liked Saria and Makar, the rest.well I wont get into that, but I like Zelda for story, puzzles and Link mostly, the sages were more like a plot piece to me than anything else.

oh, and to all you peole saying that mind tricks could be used by the Jedi against the sages and Vice Versa

And I doubt any Jedi or Sage is a weak-minded fool.

Sorry but "The Powers" that the sages may have are none, that can be seen in WW, Medli only could fly and reflect light and Makar could make plants grow in a second so the other sages were just normal, not big powers compared to the ones of the Jedis.

cant the jedis lightsabers cut through anything? so if the sages put them in a prison(like ganons) couldnt they just cut through it?.

I know Link really would not be considered a "sage" but since Crazy G mentioned that it would be the "the best warriors and magic wielders from thier universes" wouldn't Link be on the Sages side? He could beat Yoda. A light saber may be able to cut through anything, but can it cut through magic and magic enforced blades? I say no.

If you don't consider Link a sage then remember that Zelda does have great powers...din's fire...farore's wind...nayru's love. Ring a bell?

think if you were being held 4 feet off the ground be your neck being strangled by something you can't see and you're clutching your neck trying not to die from lack of air would you be able to to use your magic? and if a 5 ton tree was being chucked at you by the force would magic be able to even slow it down???.......not much Jedi rules all.
