Juggling

I know this thread seems kind of...random, but still I'd like to see what everyone thinks of juggling. For some reason, Im currently addicted to juggling. I've known how to for about 2 years or so and it's always been fun, but now I'm really into it. I want to juggle anything I can find. Im talking about 3 balls, not 2 or like 5...just three. I want to learn how to do tricks and stuff, but I'm going to have to figure it out myself. If I taught myself how to juggle then I can teach myself to do more complex tricks. My friend and his brother are professinal jugglers. (and they're only sophmores and seniors in highschool)

Anyone here juggle or got anything to say about it.

Well to be honest with you........... I CANT JUGGLE FOR CRAP! lol. I've tried so/too many times. Even my teacher tried to..."teach" me how to juggle but I just cant. Maybe I just wasnt born to be a juggler, what do you think?

It takes an incredible amount of practice. Hours and hours, just to get the basic '3 ball juggle' There are classes for juggling...but that just seems like a waste of time and money. It's more rewarding if you teach yourself.

I can only juggle two things at once, they don't even need to be balls. I've never thought of pushing it up to three, but I might someday.

I can juggle three after a lot of practice, and it takes TONS of practice. Recently, I have been trying to juggle with four (which is close to impossible), and if anyone even knows how, tell me.

I have no damn idea how to continuesly juggle 4 balls. My friend (the professinal juggler) can juggle 7 at a time. It is absolutly insane. He can juggle torches and knifes too. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Torches!, Knives! I have tried doing something like that (juggling drumsticks) and only catching it on one end, and I can't do it at all. I actually do know how to juggle 4, but I can't. (you know, I know how, but can't?) i was trying to see if anyone else knows. You have to start out with 3 balls in one hand and one ball in the other. you then throw two from the hand with 3 in it. After that, it is just like juggling three. I figured that out on my own after a while. how to juggle 7, like you said, I can only dream of guessing how!

I cna juggle four balls constantly, for a short while. I can juggle three balls for... pretty much ever. I've always been good at juggling, I picked up 3-ball juggling in a week. My instructor (at summer camp, this was an elective period) was so surprised he even bought me a set of three clubs to juggle with. I still have them here.

The trick to juggling four balls: You juggle two in each hand. That's it.

And yes, my instructor was crazy. He can juggle everything, and I know I saw him doing around ten rings at once at one point.

I wish I could juggle... For some reason, I'm good at doing some things with my hands- typing, drawing, playing the flute- but can't do other things- yoyo or juggling. Juggling seems impossibly complex to me. We "learned" juggling in PE with cloths, but me and my friend ended up playing random games that involved burrying ourselves in the cloths and pretending to climb walls... Our teacher consulted us about this eventually, by telling us she didn't want us to get the cloths dirty. Darn fun-ruining teachers...

Juggling (and yo-yoing) takes an IMENSE amount of patience. Some people can pick it up pretty quick, but others it can takes months. To do three balls its pretty easy...two balls in your right hand and one in the left, start by throwing one of balls from your right hand (or whichever one had 2 in it) right before the ball lands in your other hand throw the single ball into the air, and continue the process. It's frusterating to learn, but i love making up and doing little tricks that i think of. (start by throwing the first one under the leg then the other hand through the other leg....spining......off the wall...that good stuff)

If anyone tells you that juggling three objects is truly hard, that is lies. Lies. All lies.

Juggling three objects is actually very simple, and anyone willing to put a little bit of time into it can do it.

And yes, I can juggle three items.

(I'd explain why juggling three items is fundamentally easy... but it's something I'd better be able to do in person. The Klutz juggling book is a good start if you want to learn, it's how I learned.)

I dont know...books dont seem to help....i guess i shouldnt be saying that because I've never read a juggling book, but I think it would help better if you were to watch either a video or teach yourself. As Bobslob said, once you get it down, juggling 3 things is extremly easy (and hella fun)

Yea I would like to be able to, its awsome coordination trainning and stuff. I just dont wanna make time for it

It only takes a little practice here and there. Though it takes a pretty long time to learn all together, it doesnt have to be for HOURS AND HOURS, just a couple minutes every couple days.

I can juggle scarfs, if that counts.

But as for balls and other objects of the sort, I can't juggle. It's really hard. We had juggling as a unit in P.E., and I sucked at it. Except the scarf juggling. I was good at that.

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO JUGGLE 4 BALLS AT THE SAME! I was randomly practicing and I figured out how to do it pretty easily. Haha I was so happy. I can do it pretty easily now. I start with 3 in my right hand and one in the left and go as if I only have three. It took about ten minutes to get it down, but once I got it I WAS PUMPED. See what a little practice does.
