I'm going to an Anime and Video Game Convention

There's going to be one in Cleveland Ohio. My best friend and I are going as Zelda and Link. I think thats going to be fun. Has anyone ever been to one?

This past September I went to Anime Weekend Atlanta, it was my first con and it was just aweomse. At the end of this month I'm going to Momo Con in Atlanta and later this year I'm going to Otakon (biggest con in the States) in Baltimore and Anime Weekend Atlanta again.

"Cons" scare me... haha. I try to stay away, myself. But yeah, have fun mate.

Yea, a con can be scary. So many people dressed up like that can make someone freak out.

I like going to cons.Last year at an anime convention my buddies cosplayed the cast of SoulTaker(Kyousuke Date,Runa Tokisaka,Komugi Nakahara,Shiro Mabu,and Richard Vincent).My girlfriend and I went as Kay and Mizuho from Please Teacher.Cosplaying at conventions are alot of fun plus all those anime DVDs for half price.A gaming convention is no different just means you can cosplay as vg characters.

Geez, I live up here in northern Ohio (2 or 3 hours from Clevland) and I havent heard about this. When and where is this event?

Are you refering to cons in general, or a specific one?

I believe it is the one in Cleveland, Ohio, GB. If I had my drivers license, a job, and some time I'd be able to go. But I have none of that.

There was a con eariler this year in Columbus, OH. It's the only one I'm aware of happening in Ohio.

I remember my first con, back last year in May... (Supanova Sydney). Had a blast, with the artists and merchandise.

I've never been to a con before. I wanted to go to AnimeExpo 2005. I still have to make my Tetra. I doubt that I can go though. I've never cosplayed before. I live in Georgia, I could go to Dragoncon next year.

I've never been to a con, but I want to. Cosplaying seems really fun, hope you enjoy yourself.

I have. I went as Ness that day even though it was kinda funny to see a Black guy as Ness. It was pretty funny though.My friend was Chinese and he went as Jeff.

Another time I went as Link my Chinese friend was Ganondorf,My Twin friends
both got into a horse costume and was Epona. Once again we were funny.

I ****ing hate crossing dressers! As if dressing up in costumes of anime/game characters is bad enough... they gotta crossdress on top of that...

They dont do conventions over here in Chav Country; this is why I hate living in England, nothing vaguely fun ever occours around here; well anyway. I hope you have a great time.

You could go to Anime Weekend Atlanta XI. It's in September I believe. I went last year and it was my first con. I'm going again this year.

Yeah, I went to the Anime Expo 2005 today, it was pretty fun. They had some games related to anime for the PS2 there. But the coolest thing aside from all the costumes is that you can get every thing at like half price, also FREEE STUFF! I didn't dress up this year but I might next year, and to my suprise I only saw one guy dressed up as link. But there were plenty of awsome looking costumes, my favorite was one of Cloud from FF7 advent children, he even made a huge sword for it.
