Who hates or would hate uniforms?

I would never be able to go to a school the requires uniforms. I hate getting dressed up for formal occasions as it is, and I cannot STAND ties and collared shirts when they have to be buttoned up all the way. Last time I wore a tie the collar of the shirt actually managed to cut open my neck somehow, and that was not a pleasant experiance for the few days afterwards. So basically, If I had to wear a uniform everyday I'd probably blow my head off. (Note: This is what most would call an over-exaggeration, I would in no way actually kill myself if I had to wear a uniform)

Uniforms aren't neccesarily bad. I mean, there are some really stylish ones out there, but then again, there are the really bad ones that make you look like. . .I don't know. . .

But, it just depends on the uniform that will really decide whether I like it or not.

In australia all schools have the uniform code... they suck..the only thing good is the girls look cute in them lol

Uniforms...I can't stand uniforms, although I don't have to wear uniforms. My old middle school had to wear uniforms the year after I left (that was a close one) and now there are rumors going around that we might have to wear uniforms next year :mad: but hopefully, like many other rumors it will be false.

I think uniforms are stupid ways for grown ups to take more of our freedom. That is my opinion on Uniforms.

I wish my school had school uniforms. I like them, and I look very cute in them, too. I enjoy showing my school spirit if I admire the education it brings me.

I don't have to wear uniforms...wow, it's surprising how many people do.

Uniforms meaning, the matching clothes that everyone wears and not a miltaristic dress code. There would be hell to pay if I was told to cut my hair. That's the only issue I would have ever with them, if anything.

Well, as a few people have said we have to wear uniforms in Australia. I finished school back in 2003 but sometimes I miss having a uniform....I need to get a life. Anywho, the good thing about uniforms is that you don't have to worry about what to wear or anything like that. You know exactly what you're going to wear and because you don't wear your casual clothes as much, they last quite a bit longer. You can still go to school without a uniform though. At my school, you just had to go and get a 'Pink Slip', a pink piece of paper that you had to show teachers if you weren't wearing a uniform. On it would be your excuse like 'Uniforms in the wash' or something like that. Sometimes teachers would require pink slip for the most trivial of things though, like wrong colour shorts. Most teachers didn't really care unless your entire set of clothes wasn't the uniform.

I don't go to a school with uniforms, but I wouldn't like it, I'm sure. I like my T-shirt and jeans. Never changes, besides a different shirt and jeans, and it is my style. Only seeing one thing everywhere ruins some fun in watching what other people wear. I know it sounds perverted, but I like seeing all the different styles, punk to clean shaven, it's all good.

Well, on the upside is that our school has virtually no code on hair or facial wear =P Body piercings included.

I would never wear uniforms! Okay, well maybe after a while I'd deal with it, but for me right now all I wear are my t-shirts that have some kind of humorous saying or an inuuendo on it and my jean-shorts. That's all I ever wear. I have one pair of pants, but I only wear them for formal occasions. Yeah, I pretty much wear my jean-shorts all year round, even when I have to walk to school through a foot of snow

I kind of have a uniform fettish. Heh...plaid skirts and stockings are oh so shibby.
But my school is pretty lenient when it comes to clothing its students. I suppose I should be thankful for that.

I could never wear a uniform.. Im sorry but that just doesn't work for me. Having uniforms takes aways one's ability to express themself and be creative. Without creativity we are no where in life and we are all the same. Then I sometimes run into those people who go to schools where they wear uniforms and are "the smartest school in the district" and are like fuhaha im gonna grow up to a billionaire and you will be pumping my gas. They piss me off.. People who grow up in a uniform society follow the uniform job of being a pinpusher or some other type of cubical worker for a major company. Its the people with the creativity who make those companies to begin with. And sure I may be pumping your gas, but I have more fun in my life! Then there are a lot of people who are just forced to wear uniforms and express their creativity in other ways and end up being just fine. To sum it all up:

i have a uniform [and goign to keep on wearing a uniform for four more years ] and i dont mind much.. i just hate my sports uniform!! its bright bright BRIGHT green with a bright BRIGHT yellow collar!! how grotty!! >_< but luckily we're getting it changed!! woo hoo!! anywho..

Yeah I'm supposed to wear one, but the school has a pretty high tolerance, so it's not all bad. Plus the girls look sexy in 'em.

I'm still not used to my own uniform <_<;, especially our P.E. shorts. I don't hate it though, I think anyway. Just going from one end of the city to another in a uniform feels weird, even in a group of friends o_0;
