Sky Diving anyone?

Hey, I just asked my parents if I could go sky diving for my 18th birthday and they said I could! Even though I am only 14 I have been pleading and they have not yet decided until now. I can't wait.
So I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever been sky diving and whats it like. I love rollercoasters and stuff alot so I guess I will like it.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

That's really awesome that they are letting you go skydiving for your birthday ahead of you...

As far as me personally skydiving?! It will never happen. It's not so much that I'm afraid of heights (I LOVE rollercoasters as well) It's the fear of falling to the ground.
*splat*

With rollercoasters, I'm somehow strapped in to a big hulking mammoth contraption... it makes me feel safe. I know that there is always the risk of falling out, but it's a matter of mindset.

I will never bungee jump, because that only holds me in with a harness and an elastic band of some sort. So, I can't explain it better than that.

Skydiving = noppers.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Skydiving sure sounds pretty awesome when you're on the ground, but up in the plane you are going to be having second thoughts. I'd still like to do it one day though. Just so that I could say I've gone skydiving.

Oooo, and something else to do before I die: bungee jumping.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

I could never go sky diving.. I already have a fear of heights and if sky diving itself didn't kill me, the fear would! I really don't see how the people who do it can manage to do it and I think it is pretty cool that they can. So lets see here, sky diving, another thing to add to the list of stuff I should never do.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Skydiving looks fricken awesome, I always wanted to do it and my cousin is a pro. I have done bungees before, but I'm sure skydiving beats that 10 times over.

Actually .. It's something Fox (Mccloud..) and I are thinking of doing in the (near?) future. Although he got a straight blunt *no* when he proposed the question to mum :3 (the genius asked her after coming home late and breaking her new mug o-o; ) I'm sure she'll mellow in a couple of months.

Actually Sadie, I am tERRIfed of rollercoasters but can't wait to go skydiving >.> *is made up of a bunch of paradoxes*

I don't know if I would do it or not. Sure I like roller coasters, but I'm afraid I would kill myself going skydiving.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Skydiving is definitely on my to-do list because it seems to be so incredibly cool and the adrenaline rush would probably kill an elephant.

But you should also be aware that among other items on my to-do list, I'm planning to visit Reactor 4 in Chernobyl and conquer Earth. In that order... :cool:

Wow, you still have 4 more year but hey...atleast you get to do something cool like that. I think Sky Diving would be a awesome experience but I don't see myself do anything like that for awhile.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Hmm.. the closest thing I've done to Skydiving is pretty much Bungee Jumping, of which I did a few months ago in Karawau Bridge, near Queenstown New Zealand. Fun, eh Lost Lee?

Sadida, they don't use a harness as the main strap holding the cord to you, its just bound around your legs! The harness is only in "emergencies"..

Yep. That's me.

Oh, and I am eligible to go Sky-diving ala Military Parachuting with Army Cadets this year! ..XD

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Jeez, that looks great. How far is that drop? Is there an age limit for Bungee Jumping because I have done something like it, but not near as cool as that. I would want to go and try that if I could, if there is no age requierments.

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

Well, where I went the age requirement is sensible, like over 12 years I'd assume ^^;
Heh, and I think I dropped about 43 metres or so..

Re: Sky Diving anyone?

M skydiving? Mabey. The only way I would ever consider it would be if either

a) There was something incredible waiting for me at the bottom. And I'm talking serious, palpitation inducing glory down there waiting.

b) Im firmly strapped to someone particularly handsome. Im thinking Del Marquis people, unless you can arrange either of these, I aint jumping!

Wow chuc, that pic is incredible! I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like to just drop like that...
