What is your school like?

I have been to 4 differant school systems: year round, traditional, Adult School, and hime school. I dont know if there are any more but you should tell me about what your school is like in every way you could from the kids attitudes to the value of your school.

crappy annoying bad teachers who arent organized and the worst damn vice principle who looks for ways to torture us with crappy school trips to f ing camps that suck a**

everybody hates our school and we cant wait to graduate and there are some of us who want to go into the the chem lab with torches and blow the whole thing sky high

I hate my school, I hate going to school....its got to be the worst school I have been to, I could list loads of things that it is bad at, I'd go to any school before the one I am at now.
The people in it are cool though, I have lots of freinds there and it has quite alot of sports stuff and fixtures which is about the only good thing about school....school can also be really funny, but everyone is boring and its always people like me who do the stupid things and end up taking the rap for it.....everyone is just so busy with there studys now and actualy care about school.....meh.

So school is cool....but just the way our school is organized and the staff suck. But really without school I would be lost....its an important part of my life.

My school is a giant bomb shelter. Concrete blocks everywhere, hardly any real decoration or "warmth". It's massive, which takes up the entire peak of the mountain. We have over three cafe and three mega gyms, not to mention swimming pools, tennis courts, ice rink, arcade, basketball court, track and field, and so on. Over 500+ computers and more are appearing. Over 4,000+ students I think... or is it 6,000+?

Each class room can fit at least 50-400 students. Walking from one end of the campus to the other end takes at least 5 to 10 minutes. We also have Starbucks coffee and other resturants. 2 massive parking lots, visitor centers, information centers, bookstores, travel agencies, banks, and so on.

My school's main campus is very small. And we can only use about 3/4 of it or so. We have onen parking lot that works quite nicely, except for the people who can't drive's parents always dropping them off in weird spots, clogging things up for the rest of us. Most of the classes can hold about 15 people, except for the ASL 2 class, which holds maybe 10, and the cafeteria, which holds almost he whole school (130 students, maybe 15 teachers). The teachers are really conservaive, as are most of the students. Nice enough, unless you supported Kerry during the election. Man was it annoying. My friend was the only Kerry supporter, and people were always saying "GO BUSH!" or something when they saw her. Even some of my other friends did this, and I was really embearassed. Mostly everyone's pretty preppy, but there are some (like me) who aren't. It's a nice school, but kind of a hassle sometimes.

I do not like my school at all. I transferred to it from my old school two weeks before the end of the last school year, and I immediately knew I would dislike it. There are no strict rules or bus drivers, so I believe it has no value. There is a lot of cursing and people saying "Oh my ...", making me correct them under my breath. The school is also very messy and a horrible environment. I dislike my school very much.

Eh, my high school is in a hick town, so everyone there loves country music.....GAH! COUNTRY MUSIC! *shudders*.... It's on the school news show...at the dances....GAH!

My other complaint other than the hick country music is that my school is the only high school around without open-campus, meaning we can't leave for lunch. A lot of kids get caught trying to sneak over to the Taco Bell or the J & P's at the shopping center across the street.

Other than that I like my school, everyone's pretty laid-back and the teachers and people allow you to have lots of independence and responsiblity, but that's pretty typical of most high schools I know about.

Ugh. Man, dont get me started. You see i live in a pretty well off neighborhood. Thus, our high school if full of rich snobs and genious child prodigies. And i mean full, we have around 4,000 ppl crammed in there. I hate it. The competition is insane. For example... i have a 4.6 GPA right now, yet im not even in the top 10%. I doubt im even in the top 15%. Now, ive never lived anywhere else, but i doubt this is normal. Gah... 2 more years.

My school is pretty good, actually. The place makes its own pizza, and it's pretty good pizza, too. Lunch is always nice because of that.

But, to go to my school, you have to be smart. I can't believe how many students I see fail in my school because they didn't study, or goof off in class. Most kids don't even care about their freshman year, and just throw it away like it is nothing and ask the teachers to throw parties during class instead of taking a test.

I live in a bit of an upperclass society, so everyone expects a lot from us. If you get B's in my neighborhood, you get scolded. Some parents are quite harsh, too. I guess I'm lucky... the worst I have ever gotten was a B-, on a report card. I suppose my good grades are the only thing keeping me on this computer, since my parents can't really tell me when to study. I already do so well, they have practically no right to tell me when to study or do my homework. The strange thing is, they agree with me on this.

It surprised me, for the first time, I got straight A's so far this marking period. I wonder if my GPA is near 4.0... it probably is. (4.0 is basically perfect grades, all A+'s, correct?)

My school has some nice teachers, like my Bio teacher, who actually wants me to teach her Photoshop (Yay!), and my Art teacher, who thinks I am amazing. I don't know how people fail Art class, but they do it. Some people even got the question wrong on the quiz that asked, "What are the three primary colors?" Some people only put two colors, and some people listed Purple, Green, or Orange. It amazes me that in a neighborhood where so much is expected of us, that some people really don't care about education...

Other teachers are just awful. I remember I had a teacher once who was going to give me a detention for using a cell phone after school hours, when the Vice Principal has already given me permission to use the phone. This teacher is very old-fashoined, and absolutely hates the words "like," "yeah," and "dude." She actually did give me a detention once, and asked me what bus I was on. I answered, "Yeah... I'm on bus 4." She went crazy, and blasted back at me yelling, "Don't say that word to me!"

Our school is rather large, and it took me over a week until I finally learned my way around. I suppose that is how it is with most school, though. Move to a new one, spend a week or so learning about the area, learning names, meeting people, getting cirriculum information...

Yeah. All in all, I guess my high school is pretty darn good.

My Highschool, also a college Prep, is a private, catholic, Jesuit (Go SJ!) school. Its all boys, with some fantastic looking female teachers. Well, maybe I think their fantastic because there are no females other than them.
Out mascot is a giant bell, because the schools name is, Bellarmine, named after a great jesuit priest, St. Robert Bellarmine.
Bellarmine has a wonderful community, Every practically knows eachother, or are aquantences.
Dances (we call em mixers) are quite fun, because females attend them. The art program is very good considering the fact that Bellarmine is not a liberal arts high school.
Overall, it has a very good sense of community, alumni come back to teach, reunions are every 10-20 years i think.
the shool has a 98% rate of students going off to a 4 year college, which is very good.
and yeah. I like the place so much I plan to go back there and teach art when I'm done with college

Lol yeah... Did I mention that my school also has two threaters?
And when it's sunny, looking at the horizon from where my school is, it's beautiful. Because we're at the top of the mountain, we get spetacular views all the time.

I like my school I guess. Nothing fancy, but it's not falling apart either. I like it.

Well my school is a middle school in the Jefferson District. There are all sorts of stereotypes there. Like the ''ghetto cool kids'' or the ''nerds''. My school really sucks, most people there don't even like it. Some teachers are ok, but others I can't stand at all. The only real good I think, is the snack bar during lunch.

Our school just got done from merging 2 previous schools into one. It's OK I guess. It's an older school (Built in the '60's). We have about 1,400 people in our school. It's OK, but it's a little on the cramped side. Also, out new principal is the biggest dipstick in existance. I mean, one time he told us to move to out rest class, and 10 minutes later, he told us to move back to our old one, when the bell rang in the middle of him talking. lol It's an OK school if you count our idiotic principal out of it.

My school is okay. Kids in there are great. I got many connections for different things. Teacher's don't give a damn.... except the dress code, for some odd reason. But I never eat lunch at the school, I walk to the Chic-fil-a down the street. My teachers are pretty nice, except for algebra teacher, he is really cool, but one of those Jesus fanatics. He always talks to me about Jesus and how I should give my life to him. But I don't care, I do whatever I want. :3
