Your Favorite Threads

People have been mentioning how many threads they have started here at ZU, and I decided to have a look at my own past threads (all that are left after various movings). I came up with some that I had completely forgotten about, but which are really fun to look at!

Here are a few of my favorite ones:

Big Bad Davidia says, "GO HERE!!"
This one tickles me to death, as it seems quite out of character ;0P' Indeed, I even used the name "Big BAD Davidia" in my thread title!

Don't burn the bridges you've crossed
March 2nd and later also the 27th of July are ZU's semi-official Bridge Days. In two months' time, we'll be celebrating Bridge Day once again. I was feeling lubby-dubby, I guess, with this one, so expect some deep remarks ;0)

Infinite SPACE
Here was my hair-brained idea at an infinite web-space scheme... I'm STILL going to market it, so HANDs-OFF! hehehe

ZUnion Dreams
This thread could be freaky depending on how you look at it :0S It's about dreams people have had about the famed "ZUnion". I haven't thought about one of these ZUnions in a long time, but it's really fun to daydream about, especially if you have made superclose friends, here.

The Inside of ZU
Wow, I must really be good at making insanely weird threads. THIS one is about how people perceive ZU to be...like..."physically" speaking. It evoked some good thoughts, I think, though :0)

BBD's Chapel of Looooove
HAHA! Noooo, not THIS one!! I'm almost afraid to include "BBD's Chapel of LOOoooove" in this list ;0) NOBODY had better ask me to perform any more marriages...NObody :0P'

Real Brainy, BBD...
As the last selection, I chose this one. It talks about the stupid things we do... And boy aren't there puuuhLENty.

What have been some of your favorite threads in your ZU history? They don't have to be ones that you made, but simply that they really stand out as extremely cool threads. Please make sure to give an explanation of WHY they are so great to you, too, so we can keep from having spam in here. :0)

(OH! And please remember NOT to revive old threads...that would make the whole idea bad).

Re: Your Favorite Threads

Alright, I'll post some old threads of mine that I liked. If there are that many...

A Place to Place Your Welcome quotes and other funny/serious random phrases...
This was my very first quotes thread, and I think it was a success. I created it because people seemed to be complaining about a lack of nice welcome quotes for newbies at the time, so I made a thread where everyone could come together and share welcome quotes, or just random funny quotes for the person who needed a good laugh. I will always remember "Hug the muffin!" particularly because it is about muffins .

Are the rules TOO strict?
This thread contains me as a newbie, and Sear posting his "post that owned GoldenChaos." I think that makes it historical, or something.

Favorite Wind Waker character?
Can't be a newbie on the first day without making a "What's your favorite wind waker character??" thread, right?

Darn English Teachers...
My little thread about how English class teachers are probably the worst possible teachers to teach you the English subject on Earth. Here is where I learned that I am not the only one with a retarded English teacher, which makes it important.

Golden Sun 1 & 2 - Educational?
Here, I found out for the first time that many games take parts of their story from old myths and ledgends, in this case about the Golden Sun series. I like this thread, even though it may not have brought up much discussion.

Fan Fiction - Dawn of a New Era
Fan Fiction - Dawn of a New Era
My two fanfiction threads! How could I not have them here? The top one is my first Dawn of a New Era thread, and the second is the most recent one. Don't worry, I have a new chapter coming soon ^^;.

Simple Graphics Tutorial (Beware 56k-ers)
A tutorial I made for up and coming graphic artists. It was originally made to teach Fia how to use the basics of gradients in Photoshop, but I decided to share it with everyone. The tutorial was a big success. I was very surprised when I found out that Sear didn't now gradients could do things like that.

Battle in the Void (random)
A battle between myself and Goffa, which I think is really a nice read. I even posted it on the ZU main site, fanfic section, and it got a nice review, which really surprised me.

GoldenChaos's Doodles and Drawings and other things like that
My art thread! I am proud of my art, even if it isn't the best on ZU. I think I am a fairly good artist, and my art teacher thinks I am amazing. Recently I have been thinking of ways to put what I do on photoshop onto paper, which is really interesting. I am especially proud of the Samus Aran drawing I did in that thread, which was done all in pen. It may not be amazing to some of you people, but to me it is something special. I am extremely dissapointed that I lost the original drawing.

Official Battle Rap Tournament
The Battle Rap Tournament! Who could forget this, which I made during my rap phase! It was fun for a while, but died off before it could be finished... it's a shame, because there were only a few matches left and I thought everyone was having fun. Even Kishin, who objected it at first, joined in and had fun with it.

GoldenChaos Images
My sig shop! Doesn't this go without explanation that I love my sig shop? Thank you to all who have requested siggies from it ^_^.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Walkthrough *obvious spoilers*
The Minish Cap Walkthrough thread - which I am sad to say cannot be finished before my Christmas break is up like I had hoped, due to a busy week, and tomorrow I have tons of schoolwork to catch up on >.o... I am glad I decided to take up the task of making this walkthrough. I like to give help to others, even though I am not the best at game boy Zelda's.

Paradigms
Paradigms, the nice little experiment I gave ZUers that was slightly-ruined by people who, even though I said don't post if you have seen it before, still posted. I think it was a success, a bit, and the answers I got were definately interesting. I still say Sear is the most successful.

Insanity! (A cooperative story)
A cool cooperative choose-your-own-story type co-op fiction that you should all participate and post in. Immediately. It is a funny and fun thing to participate in, I promise! ^_^;

Hmm... I don't think there are many more threads of mine that are worth posting here. Perhaps later?

Re: Your Favorite Threads

Heh, found a couple. May find some more later.

Site devoted to all games
My first thread here, I believe. At least I think it is. To think that advertising was the reason I first posted here.

How do I add CSS to my sig???...
Classic.

A lot of good stories come from this one, and I love reading them.

Today is the beginning of my third year here.
Very emotional input from Ascius that I enjoyed reading.

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...0&page=1&pp=15
This one gave me tons of laughter at the pointless debates.

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...t=14258&page=1
Always a good read from BBD himself.

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/...t=14935&page=1
I was highly flattered by this one.

That's it for now

Re: Your Favorite Threads

I just looked, and apparently I have seven pages worth of threads. Jeez. I never would have thought I made that many.

The Adventure, the Memories, the Legend - of Zelda
I enjoyed writing this one quite a bit, and I got a very nice reception here. When AnakiN stuck it on the main site, tons of people told me it was the best article on it, and tons more asked me to join the Behind the Rupees team. Unfortunately, I can't write this well with any consistency...

None of my other threads really stand above the rest, really.

ZU's Circle of Hope

Funny how that thread and the other thread I wrote during the April Fool's prank were the only threads I've made that were locked, besides one that was revived. o_O;

Re: Your Favorite Threads

Ive just read through some of those threads, pretty cool stuff. I've missed so much

Anyways, I've only made one thread so far and here it is:
Phobias, what do you have?

My first thread here and I'm pretty proud of it. I don't think its a topic that is disscussed to much, or at least I hope its not, and I learned alot about some of the members. I think it was quite successful.

Re: Your Favorite Threads

I know this thread probably can't be retrieved, but I heard a long while back about an M & M Mini thread, which was supposed to be funny. If I can't see it, can someone at least explain it?

GC, you quoted the rap!!

Re: Your Favorite Threads

Man if I went searching for all my favorite threads then I would be here forever. All of them are really old. Like my battels with Ferice, boy could she kick some ass. Mostly battels when the BA was seeing the good days, and the rpg.

But one that still brings back really fond memories was my valentines thread.

Oh god that damned wedding thread, Me and Ferice were your first I think and that started a huge trend. lol Something blue lol! You remember that god that was a trip. To many good times at Zu, just to many.

Re: Your Favorite Threads

Yeah, man, the old "Oni and Ferice" marriage ;0) You guys WERE the first. That was so spontaneous :0o

And there were some really deep feelings revealed in that Valentines thread, man...that was a good idea.
