Curiosity's Landing

Not sure if this is the right forum or what, sorry..

So, Curiosity is gonna be doing its whole landing sequence fairly soon. Here's a livestream:

Anyone else oddly interested in this whole situation? I'm rather impressed with how many stages there are to the landing and I look forward to getting word that it's succeeded.

It's fun to watch all these rocket scientists talk about stuff I don't understand, and probably never will. And on the subject of interest, it just goes to prove that humans are still interested in space stuff. 1969 never quite wore off of us. And for good reason, too.

According to the livestream, the NASA mission controllers eat peanuts for good luck before intense moments o.O That's an odd superstition.

I read about this earlier today, but I forgot all about it! Thanks for the reminder, checking it out now.

The prospects that Mars could offer is just astounding.

I came here just to see if a thread was made, lol. It's pretty exciting. I stayed up all night for it. It's half 6AM XD

In the seven minutes of terror now, we should get to know if it's successful shortly.

I heard about earlier today, but since I don't watch television, I haven't really been in the loop. I hopefully everything turns out alright.

I figured they would, but imagine if something went wrong. Like they forgot to attach the wheels or something.

Watching live stream now, it has officially landed. Wheels are down!

Bah, American rover. Should be for all of the humans =P

I'm glad, the new Mars rover will do a lot of good for humanity .
