It is impossible to build something that fast. The faster something goes, the heavier it gets, so when you reach relativistic speeds, you need more energy to move faster, but then you get heavier, so you need more energy, and you see where this is going...
To travel at the speed of light would mean you're at an infinite mass, which means you need infinite energy, because E=MC2 tells us that Energy is equivalent to Mass.
