Death: When do you think you're gonna go?

I will never die.

I have certain factors in my favor and others very much NOT in my favor. Despite living a fairly healthy lifestyle (no smoking, good eating, exercise, minimal alcohol use), I expect to go in maybe my sixties or even late fifties. I'm type A and don't handle stress well. Unless I get that under control, I'm not going to make it into my seventies or eighties. Also, no centenarians in my family, and my grandpa (whom I look very similar to) died before I was born from a heart attack at 50.

If I make it to 40, that's enough for me. I'm not built to last longer than that, modern creature comforts artificially extend it, but I don't care about that.

I could also see a suicide in my near future, but I don't really care about that either.

I was just discussing this with my friends. I'm investing a tonne of money into my future, and will probably be paying off student loans for ONE YEAR until I'm 30.

I said I'd be really pissed if I died when I finally finished paying those, because then it means it totally wouldn't have been worth the time and money investment.

And then I said, knowing God, that's exactly when I'll die, because He likes to mess with me. =___=


So my prediction is 30. JUST so I couldn't get the best use out of my loans. (ie, start earning back money)

My maternal grandparents died at 61 and 63. My maternal grandpa's father died at 57, and his father at 65.

My mom's side of the family is pretty plagued with cancer and disease. If she ends up dying around 60, then I fully expect to as well.

My dad's side of the family is slightly more lucky. My dad's parents died in their late 80s...maybe I'll get lucky.

But yeah, I don't expect to make it past 60 or so.

If I know when I'm gonna die, then I'll make sure to die happy. I mean, die laughing or with a smile on my face. Death is inevitable, so I might as well have a good attitude about it!
