Cola Wars

I think it's pretty clear that there are more Dr. Pepper fans here than any type of Cola fans.

I'll take Dr. Pepper over any other soda, but when I have to choose Coca Cola or Pepsi, I'll take the Coca Cola.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of carbonated drinks. The closest thing to pop I drink semi regularly (meaning uh, more than one time within a month but probably not several times a week) is iced tea. The only pop I really like is ginger ale, though Dr Pepper is okay.

I never liked Pepsi's taste, too bland. Coke actually tastes saltier to me, so I guess that's why I like it more. Plus, I prefer the Coke logo to the Pepsi one. Pepsi's like the only soda that I don't enjoy (although I haven't drank soda recently).

I am coca cola all the way. I find pepsi a bit too sweet. Plus I've had a grudge against them ever since this came out. So unless there is no other choice, I avoid pepsi.

Coke just tastes better anyway, but like most people I like docter pepper. Even though that can sometimes be too sweet as well.

Sprite is my favorite soda, but I can't drink sodas anymore.

I rarely drink CocaCOla because it's so acididc, but I drink Diet Coke everyday. I used to always prefer Cocaine Cola, but now it tastes like vomit and knives.

They do cuase cancer, they have a chemicle called benzine. It cuases cancer. I wouldknow cuz I have a whole familey of docters and they tell me stuff.

Have they not tasted the difference? Must be that they have tasted it and barely noticed anything different.

I like Coke better because it is refreshing while Pepsi is too sweet and hardly refreshing because of the sweetness.

Yeah, I mean they taste similar, but there is a difference. To me, it tastes like Pepsi doesn't have as much flavor as Coke and leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Yeah, I agree there definitely is a difference in taste and have actually told them apart through a blind taste test.

Pepsi is lighter with little to no aftertaste, while coke is heavier has a lot of aftertaste and leaves a syrupy film on the roof of your mouth. Pepsi emphasizes the carbonation, while Coke emphasizes the syrup.

Coke is best drunk as a part of a meal, while its undrinkable (for me at least) alone. While Pepsi is essentially the same either way.

In anycase I'm not a big fan of soft drinks, but there is a difference.

Personally I like coke classic best of any soft drink, though there's not a whole lot of difference to me. Though I do have a poor sense of smell, and I think smell has a connection to taste, so it may just be me.

I will agree coke does leave a film in my mouth, or something like that. It probably is best taken with something else, instead of by itsself.

Hmm... I'm a lot different with my tastes then. To me, Pepsi is really syrupy and has a bad aftertaste while to me, Coke is a bit heavier on carbonation yet tastes better . Although I don't really like Coke or Pepsi, I would definitely choose Coke anytime. I'm not much of a soda drinker anyways. (except Mountain Dew)

Well, essentially they are the same thing. They're both Cola.

That being said, I think the taste (at least of coke) varies depending on where you get it. When I was in the UK, the ones I had there tasted awful compared to in Australia. From memory it was nowhere near as sweet and it tasted a little on the bleh side. I couldn't drink much of it xD

I haven't had Pepsi and Coke for over 5 years, but that's pretty much exactly how I remember the two. Always hated the syrupy taste of Coke especially if it was flat.
