Re: Places on ZU

I've posted in several more boards here than I'm active in... if you can even say I'm "active" in any of them, as I'm not a prolific poster by any stretch. I mostly frequent SD, though because I'm fickle with what threads I'll actually post in, I've spread out a bit and usually at least see what's going on here in GCC and General Gaming. I've probably posted more to GCC between today and yesterday than I ever have before, as far as posting frequency is concerned. I just made two threads in GG recently, though that was down to them being about a series I'm kind of fanatical about (see my sig).

Most of my time is spent in SD. A while ago, I was going into Future Zelda quite a bit because I feel like the series is getting stagnant and could use something different, but as of late, I've been more interested in my personal game project, which will probably have some Zelda influences. Don't like the way Zelda's become? Make one, yourself!

Re: Places on ZU

I'm mostly a lurker, I guess. I like reading the Zelda theories that get posted, especially the ones that really dig deep and use a lot of in-game sources. That is also the reason why I don't post there as much. When I say something there I want it to be something thought through and game based, which takes time and interest in the issue.

I visit GCC, Nayru and Fun and Games quite regularly. These areas are somewhat more accessible. It's fun seeing all kinds of subjects appearing there. It really shows the diversity of the community. Well that, and how bored some people get sometimes.

The RPG is where i'm most active though, both in the VCR and the Crossroads. It's great writing something together with others. Although it goes kinda slow sometimes. But that is mostly because I roam ZU outside of peak hours due to my time zone and day-to-day schedule.

Oh, and I got this sig made. The graphics section is fun to visit as well. There's always a lot going on there with all the shops and contests. There's a lot of talent out there.

Re: Places on ZU

Oh ya, I forgot to mention staff lol that one is KINDA IMPORTANT whoops.

I spend a lot, A LOT of time in there sorting/organising/contributing/leading/erm, well, ADMINISTRATING with my lovely modly team. I used to do some mainsite work with ZUBC for about two years, but I never go into the mainsite site staff area at all now.

While I lol'd @ Kenneth saying "Michael and Liah's VMs" I realise that almost more than anything else, I spend a lot of time in my inbox because it can move really fast (like I woke up this morning and had 14 PMs waiting since I went to bed last night). I recently asked Xeno if it was okay to bump up my inbox space, and despite me cleaning it out regularly, I know I would hit my max in two or so weeks. So yeah, my inbox.

Re: Places on ZU

Zelda section is meh for me. It's hard to have a successful thread unless it's controversial regarding the same old arguments.

And theorizing? No. Just no. Waaay too serious for me, bro.

I like commenting in the news (though I should say "olds" because ZU is almost always late with their gaming news. ) section of something catches my eye.

In Serious Discussion, I often feel like an idiot when I post and am not a fan of a lot of arrogant attituded I see there. Mostly I lurk.

GCC is where it's at.

General Gaming. Well, ZU Tour Part 2 is still a fairly-accurate representation:

Re: Places on ZU

I closed the Zelda section rather quickly. I'd sooner walk barefoot across lego bricks hot coals than go into the Zelda section. Certainly not to my tastes.

Really I only go in GCC these days (Proud of me Nesi?), but even then I just flick through the GCC thread a few times a day. Not much interests me any more.
Now and then I hop into SD but I haven't had a long quotewar in a while. I try to avoid them mostly, but if a good one crops up I might still dabble in it.

I'm also like one of less than half a dozen people who isn't in a clan.

Re: Places on ZU

I'M A GCC PERSON, WHEEE!

I'm here the most. It's my home. <3

I also lurk a little in the New Members' Board without posting much because I don't want my posts to be "generic."

I also loveth the Farore. I post/lurk there when I'm not in GCC. Farore is like my freaking family. It's shifted a lot, but will always have a soft spot for me. It's where I met my husband and some of my really good friends.

Occasionally SD threads catch my eye and I like to read them, but I refuse to post there. Sorry guys, but I find only a small minority of posters there on all sides who I am willing to discuss serious bisons with.

Re: Places on ZU

I frequent nayru the most, simply cuz a lot of its members have my heart <3

Next up is GCC. It's been interesting to see how all the changes are affecting it.

Lastly is GD, with a slight tough of GG (mainly the fe thread).

I love to lurk about in the BA just to see what crazy ♥♥♥♥ those BAer's are doing. I also read a few threads in SD, but I never post in there The Zelda section I'll look at (or even post in once in a blue moon!) only if I'm currently playing a Zelda game.

Mostly General Chit-Chat and General Gaming. Those, I guess you can say, are my main hubs. Sometimes The Temple of Light and Dark, but not as often as I used to.

Re: Places on ZU

When I first joined I stuck to the zelda forums and didn't really frequent the community section. Since that I have completely switched. I will occasionally make a post in the zelda forums, but I don't find as much interesting there. I currently reside in these areas...

Serious Discussion: I like to discuss these issues. I believe the more you learn about the opinions of other people and the more you discuss with or against those opinions, the better you will be able to shape them. I take part in some discussions, and I will occasionally make a thread of my own. I generally like to post about American politics and history considering I just took AP US, and I also like to post on some moral issues as long as it isn't a flame war (abortion threads, can't stand em sometimes).

General Chit-Chat: I will occasionally post here depending on whether there is an interesting thread. Sometimes it is just an excuse to get my post count up because a lot of the threads are simple and don't require too much thought. However, sometimes there will be a thread that will catch my attention and I will post frequently in it, or at least put some effort into it. Like this one.

The Role Playing Guild: I am new to this area, but I do plan on becoming much more active to the crossroads. I like the whole idea of developing a character to writing collaborative stories with it. I like to write so I think it is a good way for me to get practice. I don't know much about the VCR, but it seems like a good place and I think I will someday orchestrate a hunger games roleplay, who knows.

I am also interested in becoming an active poster in the creative writing section. I took a class for a semester that trained you to become a creative writer, and I would like to further hone in on my skills. I am no artist, but I like to write, so I guess thats my future place in the creativity corner.

Re: Places on ZU

I basically stay in Fun and Games, GCC and Nayru.

I kinda chill in F+G and make games and play around. I occasionally go to Serious Discussions.

Re: Places on ZU

RPG
I do participate a lot in the VCR/BA. I'm mostly in the VCR, but I've been getting into the BA recently a lot too. I love the idea of telling a story with other people. It's so much fun One of these days I will be able to actually write a story on my own. One of these days.

Entertainment
Yup, I do like like poking my head in here from time to time. Before I used to participate in the RPG, I used to lurk here all the time, but not so much anymore.

News stuff
I like lurking the news posts (especially when I do write up a post and I like to see user comments on it.) I of course lurk the Site Staff area. Because you know, its my job and everything.

Serious Discussions
I poke my head in here from time to time, seeing if there is any threads that catch my interest that I can post in where I won't sound like an idiot and therefore get torn apart. Of course the only threads like that are usually religion, and I pretty much learned not to touch that topic if at all possible there.

Farore Clan
Sometimes I visit Farore, but I like never post. I participated in the Clan Wars though! If that counts for anything...

I do lurk the forums a lot when I'm bored (which is when nobody is updating any of the RPs <.<), but I'll only post if I feel like I have something to contribute. Which is like never.
