Things That People Always Point Out About You That You Can't Stand

I absolutely hate this question: "are you pregnant?"
......Just because I used to be fat doesn't mean I'm pregnant!

And this one: "why don't you have a job?"
...Because I haven't found one retardo.

And this one: *stares at my iguana* "You have a lizard?"
...No it's a dog, can't you see it?

And this: "You have a tiny ass"

"Are you sick cause your voice is kinda..."
"Do you smoke weed cause your voice is really screwed up."
"Can you cough for me? Just cough a couple times"


Now I hate when people talk about my voice. That pisses me off more than anything. If you were born with a fatal syndrome that led to the near destruction of your vocal chords, you would understand. Having a hard time communicating with anybody cause they are so engaged with my voice. I sound like "some freak" cause my voice is scratchy. I've sounded like that all my life, and it doesn't make it any better when you imitate me cause I just want to die when you mock my voice. Yeah, I know it sucks. No need to point it out. I know how I sound. Just please stop mocking me, and stop telling me that I sound like a freak.

Those kinds of people suck. Especially when they are everywhere you go.

People do this to me all the time. Everywhere I go.
I never know how to respond either. I mean, I know how long it is, so I usually reply, "Yeah, I've only cut it a few times....."

If my friends or someone I know say it, I usually respond sarcastically.
"What?! I could have sworn it was shoulder length this morning!"
They just say it to get on my nerves anyway.

This exact same thing always happens to me.

Also, I get this a lot:
"Your boobs are really big."
"OH MY GOSH. You have huge boobs."

Uhh... yeah. I know.

I'm really awkward about this because I just don't know how to react. I don't exactly like these comments... they just make me more awkward.

There is many that come to mind but...

"You look really young for 25!"

Thank you captain obvious. I never would have guessed that I don't look my age since I'm carded at my fiance's doctors visits to make sure there's no statutory going on. . -_-'

I get pretty irritated when it comes to my mother and my preferences when it comes to having children. I think children are adorable, but I don't feel like being a mother is for me for my own reasons. But whenever the topic comes up, my mother glosses over my feelings and totally invalidates them.

"Oh, you just feel this way now because you're focused on your career. Your feelings will change with time."

Uh, no. I feel this way because I have my reasons, it's got nothing to do with my studies and career goals. And when I explain that, she just insists it again.

"You always wanted kids in the past. Did someone warp your mind against them??"

Yes, I would talk about babies, talked about being a mom someday, and played with mama dolls - when I was a kid. I didn't know my preferences changing as I matured into an adult equated to someone "warping my mind" against children and that I was incapable of having a change of heart of my own will.

"You're left handed?" (As I'm writing with my left hand)

"Your hair is really short. Shouldn't you grow it?" Umm, is this your hair? I didn't think so.

I have to agree that repeated comments about something physical you can't (or don't want to) change definitely get tired!

The one I get sick of the most is when I turn down a piece of cake or other junk food and someone says, "Why don't you want to eat it? You don't need to lose weight." Maybe I don't need to lose weight because I don't always eat the cake

Oh my God, this irritates me, too! I really don't like it when people try to insist that I eat something. It doesn't really happen much with anyone except my dad. I don't know why, but he always tries to force food on me even after I say no several times to the point that I start to get annoyed. I know he's only trying to be nice, but after the fourth time and on of saying you are full doesn't work, it gets tiring!

Everybody in my family mentions how long my hair is -- always mentioning that I should cut it. I honestly don't think it's long; perhaps a bit longer than what one would consider a normal hair length for males (it's at the base of my neck). It gets annoying sometimes.

"Get a job" is common. I agree that I should get a job. At the time people kept telling to do so, I did not want one due to school taking most of my day. Now, my excuse is that I can't apply to every job out there because I don't have a car (nor do I want one/can afford one). The jobs to which I have applied and are within walking distance have not said anything yet.

The previous one is usually coupled with "get off the damn computer". What else will I do? I don't like "going out", I can't get a job, and I have nothing else to do. And the people I know through the Internet are more intelligent than the ones I know in real life; I prefer an intelligent company.

I know. I see myself in the mirror every day. Whenever I look at my arms I am reminded how skinny I am. It's such a silly thing for people to comment on! Do they not think I'm aware of it? Do they think I'll reply "oh my gosh, you're right! How have I not noticed before?!"

"You have small hands."

I don't know why. My hands are perfectly in proportion with the rest of my body and I'm not that short. I don't even know why they're observing my hands in the fist place!
There's this kid in my class who has some strange obsession with my hands and it's creeping me out.

Also,

Because you didn't know I write with my left hand for the past 2 years of looking at my tiny hands.

"How come you are black, when your siblings are white"

Ugh, I just want to punch those people who ask me this whenever they see me with my siblings... I am not black, I am kinda caramel golden orange whatever that is good, is it so bad to not have a fair complexion!?

Hm let's think about this logically.
It is my sketchbook upon my lap here. My pencil/biro is in my hand. Before you interrupted me, said pen(cil) was touching the paper and moving across it.

Or in the case of digital art, it is my netbook in front of me. The art program up on the screen is one I have bought. But most importantly, on my lap I have a girt big graphics tablet and pen in my hand.

I should think I drew it, don't you think?

No, I can't. I can't just teach you how to draw. Do you expect me to transfer the knowledge and techniques I have developed over 13 years of my life to you in just a few minutes? Really?

If you really want to learn how to draw, how's about you go ahead and start researching and practise. It's not something someone can teach you, it's something you have to learn yourself. Sure, people can give you pointers, but ultimately it comes down to you.
I can't teach you everything there is to know about light and colour theory, I can't teach you how people or animals move, nor how to represent that through lines on some paper, I can't teach you about anatomy, flow, perspective, or composition, I can't teach you. I am no teacher, I am still learning myself.

But you can learn. The internet is a goldmine, just look.

I can stand any observations people make of me (whether or not they're correct) since I'm usually a pretty mellow guy, so something like this wouldn't really upset me. But this seems to happen a lot.

Naw, can't really say I ever get bothered by ♥♥♥♥ and then get upset over it. Not my thing.

People often point out that I look like Seth from Super Bad, or Jonah Hill. Usually people are like "Hey.... you look like that guy from-" then I interrupt and say "Superbad!" and they're like "yeah!"
