Snakes - I freeze up whenever I see just a picture of one, and the reptile houses at zoos give me nightmares. I even find the word snake unsettling. I watched half of The Chamber of Secrets with my eyes closed. Snakes just creep me out - I don't know if it's the fangs, the poison, the hissing noises, the movement, the lack of legs or just the way some of them kill things by crushing them to death, but they just...eurgh. *shudders*
The dead - I don't know if this really counts, but the idea of dead things just gives me the shivers. Especially the thought of something coming back to life. Ghosts are fine, it's just bodies. When I was little I was terrified by Egyptian mummies - I remember running off crying once in a museum because they had mummies, and back then I was convinced there was one living under my bed so every night I would sprint at it from the other side of my room and leap on from a distance so it couldn't grab my ankles or anything.
I don’t quite believe that now, but the idea of corpses and zombies still scares me.
Water - I'm not scared of water itself, but I have a couple of fears relating to it. Deep water scares me for some reason, and also being underwater, especially if I can't see. I hate not being able to breathe, and drowning is one of the worst ways to die that I can think of.
I can't deal with sailing either - I just sit there gripping the sides and trying not to think about capsizing.
I'm also a bit claustrophobic - I hate my face being covered, or just being confined in any way. It kind of explains my water-related fears and some of the snake ones.
And lastly, most of the
ZU sections outside of Nayru. Wait...
