Well, that and the damn thing kept crashing my computer (but it was beta, so I understand.)

It hasn't crashed my computer yet and I've been using it for over a year. I use a more unstable beta on top of that. It's not that different once I got used to it and realized that metro is really just a full screen start menu.

There is the Desktop mode, which is very similar to Windows 7.

Charities.

People think they're better for giving when a lot of the organizations just make the world worse. The Thousand Well Project has made African warlords much more powerful and a lot of these organizations have massive carbon footprints.

Also, the recipients become resentful after we give them aid, they see it as a contiuation oif the White Man's Burden. Which it totally is, these people are only helpless because of charities have allowed for unsustainable population increases and taught them to not value their traditional skills.

You can get to almost all the same menues that you can in 7, but it's a different path to get there.
And most of it is full screen, which I wasn't a fan.

If they gave me a standard start menu, and made all the app stuff go window mode rather than full screen, i'd be fine with it.

Well, that and the whole slowing my computer down thing. But that probably will be addressed for the final version.

Multiple tests have proven Windows 8 to be significantly faster and more efficient than Windows 7.

Yes, this is not even the RTM, or final release of Windows 8, but the early test results are encouraging. New hardware will, of course, make the new OS scream, particularly if you opt for SSD storage.

Re: [Negative Thread] Things you're sick of

I've come to realize that I have this really odd pet peeve. I really dislike it when someone is a fan of Bob Marley, or John Lennon, or Jim Morrison, people who wished to infuse peace, love, and acceptance, yet, ironically, they themselves are people who are not these things. Like, if a mean spirited person enjoys these artists and calls themselves a fan and yet they're close minded and spiteful, it just makes me all :|. It's almost offensive to me.

Poorly written code. I see a lot of high traffic websites out there with very sloppy/bad code. They're like fancy cars with a beat up/rusted engine underneath that's missing pieces. After doing this for a living it starts to get annoying when people make dumb mistakes.

When some guy starts using the urinal next to mine while I'm trying to piss. I can understand if the others are taken or really disgusting but when there are three other open stalls and some guy just happens to take the one next to me, just goddamit.

When someone repeats what I have just said or others for any matter.

Me: Move those cables to the back
Friend: You want me to move the cables to the back?

YES, DO YOU NEED ME TO REPEAT MYSELF OR WAS TWO TIMES ENOUGH FOR YOUR DUMBASS?

Are... are you my lost clone?

I'd say the egos that tough people have. It's all nice that you respect yourself, but that doesn't mean you should boast about yourself 24/7. It pisses me off. Think about other people! Especially the ones that think they're better than everyone else *coughTonyStarkcough*, because overall I hate people with large egos. They just irk me.

-People who put trash in the sink
-Receiving static-electric shocks
-People who incorrectly use the word "there", "their", and "they're".
-People who are soo attached to their iPhones* that if there's one bar of battery left, they don't understand that you can turn off your phone to preserve energy, and turn it back on later and reply to missed messages. If no missed messages have been received, then turn your phone back off until you get to a charger.
-*People who are soo attached to their iPhones that they check on it every 3-5 minutes even if there hasn't been any ring/vibrate/etc.

When I kill a conversation.
Awkward silence.
When people misquote things I like.
People who say "your" instead of "you're" and stuff.
People saying Nintendo is only for kids.
Mosquitos buzzing right next to my ear.
When my coffee is too bitter or too sweet.

Everyone on Tumblr seems to be crazy about Loki from The Avengers. I got sick of hearing about it ages ago. It's completely deterred me from watching the movie.

Any and all "superhero" type of movie. You know, your Batman, Avengers, Hulk, Spiderman, ect. I wish they'd stop with those, but I know they're huge money-makers, so they won't stop anytime soon.
