My name is Amanda. It's Latin and means "lovable". On many sites, I have people call me Mandy, though, in real life, I absolutely detest being called Mandy. I think it's because on the internet, I only have to read it instead of hearing it. Well, whatever.

Funny thing with my middle name is that it caused a lot of tension between my father and grandmother. Because in Greece the child is supposed to take the father's father's name (Or something like that) but my father wanted to name me Adam so they settled on calling me Adam Anastasios...

My last name's sorta cool though It's supposedly comes from an ancestor named John (Gianni) who was a horse thief and made carriages as a living...

My name is Gina.

Meh. I don't really like it. Mostly because there really aren't a ton of nicknames you can get from it. I mean, sometimes people call me Gi. But that's rare. I really like the name Gia. But it wouldn't seem to fit as a nickname, and since everyone calls me Gina anyway, it would seem stupid of me to all of a sudden say "Hey guys, call me Gia!"

I guess all I really want is a nickname.

My name's Julia. According to various sites it means "youthful" and it's a Latin name. I'm half-Italian and have an Italian last name, so it all ties in together.
But my parents didn't name me Julia for the roots. I think they named me after the Beatles song, so I think that's pretty cool. A LOT of people call me Julie though and it's incredibly annoying to me because it's not my damn name!
My little sister calls me Jul, my dad used to call me Jake way back in the day, and my friend Colleen calls me "Tornado Megaro" (well there's my last name) because we had Meteorology together and we came up with weather-nicknames.
And my middle name is Marie. It comes from both of my grandmas' middle names.
