ZU Secret Santa '04

For all ye oldies, I'm sure you remember last years Secret Santa event. For all ye not-so-oldbies, it was a great event last year where ZU'ers exchanged gifts with each other. In the words of katiiz, who was in charge last year:

The pairs are chosen randomly. When the registration has ended, I'll randomly chose names (like out of a hat or something) and then I'll determine who gets who. Then I'll PM everyone and say who they have. (That's gonna be lots of fun for me x_X) When it's time to give the gifts, they can send it by PM (or any instant messenger if you happen to have them on your list)

Now, some of you might not be online during the christmas holiday, some of you might not celebrate it but does it really matter? O.o (oke, so maybe it does, but can't we just settle for a little gift give-away in a friendly spirit then?)

Signing up/Gift Giving

Signing up will begin today (December 7th) and end Sunday, December 12 That should be enough...You'll know who you're secret santa to the day after. Or the same day, depending on how much time I've got.

The Giving of Gifts will take place shortly after. Not everyone will be able to come online on the 24th or 25th considering it's Christmas Eve/Day. Also, if anyone is going to be gone during the week, you can give your gift before you leave. You can either send your gift directly to your member, or send it to me and I'll go round in my red little santa hat and deliver all the gifts. It's up to you, really.

Gift Ideas

The gift could basically be anything, as long as it's appropriate, and not breaking the rules. It could be a sig/avatar set, funny pictures or jokes, a christmas card, an animation, a story, a poem, some art, whatever. It doesn't really matter what it is, you just gotta be sure the person you have would like it. Also try to make the gift meaningful, even if you barely know the person. Try to find out what they like. It's a great chance to learn more about someone!


Yes, I have more or less just copied katiiz's words from last year. :razz: They explain things perfectly, me thinks. Kudos to katiiz (even tho I haven't seen her in a while ._. )

This sounds like zounds of fun. If ever I figure out a gift that I can give (I HAVE NO RECOGNIZABLE TALLENTS!!! WOO!!!) then I will do teh signing uping.

Well, since the gift is to be as personal as possible, it's better to wait with it until you know who you're giving to, no?

I didnt participate last year... so I guess I will this time... might as well, it'll keep me more active atleast.

I was in last year. I made a gif animation to andi, that when I look at now, is not really all that good at all :\
