I remember when ZU...

This thread is to things you remembered about ZU from the past 11 years. Such things can include certain mods that were in charge, certain instances that occurred, drama, changes in website, users, cool threads, events, etc.

Here is an example:

I remember when ZU didn't have a Zelda Theorizing section. In fact there were these random "theory" threads in General Zelda section. Once in a while there was a thread called "The Zelda Timeline Thread". If I remember correctly around summer of 2005 myself and several others started posting more theory threads frequently which resulted in the creation of a new zelda section.

I remember when Zelda Universe didn't have a "Like button". I also remember when ZU was really strict.

I remember when the forums were running phpBB2.

And when I was the site's only newsposter.

And when we made multiple main site software transitions.

And...

...I've been here a while. But not actually from the very beginning.

I remember when...

- Power Shot was an admin
- "Fun and Games" had a more badass name
- No like button
- Nesi was a newb
- Repo-chan was an active member
- My first clan test. Din. Awesome.
- I was a whore as a newb.

I remember when Nesi wasn't even a member.

I remember when Great White North wasn't even a member.

I remember when there was no Tory on board.

I remember when most of the current mods weren't even members yet, hell I remember when most of the current members weren't members yet because I'm a ♥♥♥♥ing fossil. Almost 9 years since I joined now.

I also remember when 90X90 was the max avy size and people were happy to have that much space, nowadays all I hear is people ♥♥♥♥♥ing.

I remember when Serious Discussion was called Internet: Serious Business.

Why we switched remains a mystery to me...

I remember when there was no Like button.

I remember when Melpomene got modded. Hilarity ensued.

I remember when Daz still posted in Farore.

I remember when Sailboat, Red, and Gamzee were still in Nayru.

I remember Team Future.

I remember the Sprite Comic Shantytown

History lesson!

The original name of that board was "Serious Discussion."

I renamed it one year on April Fools' Day, because I renamed absolutely every board. Its new name was Internet: SERIOUS Business.

After that prank, two artifacts were kept. "S"D was left as Internet: Serious Business, and the Advertising board's description kept the insult against invision free boards.

At some point later, it was decided it was rude to leave it as I:SB...so it changed.

And I made that one as "Sprite Comic Ghetto" to let actual art be actually seen by people while everybody was obsessed with sprite comics. It was renamed when someone complained, although the name was functionally the same.

The Shantytown died when it (I will admit) served its purpose: People lost interest in sprite comics.

I remember the Temple of Knowledge.

I remember The Great April Fool's Prank of 2004
I remember when Peefy, Tenkawa, Ganon's Daughter, Remus, SearanoX, Lioness, andi, Lord of Shadow, OldBeane, BigBroDavidia, Malony, Frodo, Ascius and all those other ZU greats were the main posting force
I remember ALL the 4chan attacks and takeover and resets (oh. God xD)
I remember the first person to fake his death on ZU (Bahamut!)
I remember when CAPN tried to do the same thing
I remember the Emigration of Starship members from ZU to ZeldaInformer
I remember when Jason was a newbie called GoldenChaos
I remember when SuperDECImal was a newbie
I remember when Frodo created the first scrapbook :>>
I remember Necroton (GrEAT character) and the way he used to creep on Fiannaa xDDD
I remember the first VOICE thread way back when (haha I still remember and memorised some of the wee sound clips, like The Merchant's "Morning Glory" ; and Hindmost breaking a teapot )
I remember when LIAH was a wee newbie :> *smiles*
I remember when Nayru had NOTHING to do with perviness or anything cheap and was THE best clan
I remember when the wars against perviness raged through Nayru, unsuccessfully
I remember the first StonyLonesome/Kynnella dramas with Sahrrie *laughs*
I remember the HUGE Shaun/Windeh drama with Capn/ZU/4chan/ZeldaInformer
I remember when Cody was a wee laddie who visited the chat now and then as "DivineDragoon" and when he got modded
I remember when Lars was active in the forums and the chat
I remember the time beFORE The serious Discussion board ever existed
and remember the first trial one and how it then got deleted only to be resurrected again much later.


.. this can go on for ages **laughs**

I remember when there was a "hottest ZU girl" contest or something like that, and Nenue (can't exactly spell her name) won it and had this guy called Mute kinda stalking her. He pissed me off and it would seem he eventually left.
I remember infracting SuperDecimal for some Zelda spoilers or w/e. I remember him racking up his postcount SO GODDAMN FAST that I was like, my god.
And I remember talking to Liah about toast and hip-hop.

Aaand I remember Asia/Anime Queen giggling at me in a thread 'cause I said I wanted a job and that I should've had one, but couldn't be arsed to find one.

And of course DrZaius1 and lord-of-shadow's Zelda-debates.

Holy fugg it's been a while and I still have managed to make barely a handful of buddies at most on here, if even that. It's a damn asocial record! lol

Oh and I also remember SearanoX with Kedisar and how they were like...metal-buddies or something. Kedisar freakin' pissed me off.
I remember he actually made a thread about how he performed some sort of semi-surgery on his toenail or w/e, and even posted a pic lol...

O and I remember when we made up drama in the staff for April Fool's, and I was the one to set it off with a drama-thread and we mods used alternate accounts to trick people we were going to replace the staff with a new set of random people.
