What are things that scared you when you were little, yet you laugh at now?

When I was a kid, I thought everyone were aliens that would disguise as humans when I was around. It was terrifying.

Yep, same here.

This is going to sound pathetic, but I was afraid of lolly pops when I was little.

My dad made this lie to me when I was a bub when we went to a public pool one day. He bought me a lolly pop from a nearby kiosk and told me that I couldn't go in the pool with it, otherwise the lollypop will transform the pool into a giant lollypop, suffocating everyone to death who are submerged and trapping those who are in the water.

While he told me that story, I saw a kid choke on one nearby and that was enough for me to throw my lolly pop away and cry. xD



So yeah I was afraid of them for a few years.

When I was a kid, I always used to see faces in the dark all the time.

As a kid I was afraid of “promotion people” who were completely dressed up and distribute a few brochures. [I mean things like this, don’t know how to call them XD]. It was the same with Santa Clauses in supermarkets who distributes candy. I preferred to get nothing than going near to them.
Even if they had nice or cute costumes I always wanted to run away from them because I thought they would harm me. I have no clue why I thought this way.

The other thing was a level in Super Mario Bros. 3 in the desert world. If you pass through the half of it a small sun appears and tries to hit you until you finish the level.
I always gave the controller to my parents so they did the level for me.

This was the only thing I could think of that I no longer fear.
I still fear everything else I used to fear. D:

When I first seen Scream. I literally couldn't sleep right after that cause everytime I seen a shadow walk past my window I'd jump and hide underneath my bed. You know? I thougt it was one of those chain scary movies like The Ring >__<

Ah yes, the grotesque talking "Roman" bust from Art Attack is definitely giving creeps to this day (I watched Art Attack when I was young). Now I know why the show is called Art Attack (it sounds like Heart Attack).

Every once and a while he would pop out of a corner with his costume on and scare the lungs out of my chest.
For about 4 years he did that. And now I call my friends sister a gorilla...

I was afraid of the shower. xD

I mean I was scared ♥♥♥♥less of the shower. So I took baths everyday instead.
I couldn't bring myself to shower until I was ten years old, even then I was still kinda scared of it and got out as soon as possible.

I was scared of balloons too. They still kinda freak me out a little but now I recognize that it's an irrational fear so I think it's funny...until a balloon enters the room and I need to get out and away from it as soon as possible. Then it's not funny.

But I had a fear similar to the shower. I was afraid of the entire bathroom because I thought there were ghosts under the bathtub....

I enjoy watching Civilization V videos. However, among a few things, here is one that prevented me from playing the game:

Though the image is recent, I am still frightened by it to this day, ever since I got frightened by the half-buried Statue of Liberty in the Planet of the Apes when I was young.

^ THIS! omg. It was my first horror movie at 13 or so, and I was scared crapless as to how easy it was to be murdered!!!!

I suppose this isn't any different, than when I was a kid, but: noises outside my window, at night. I have really good hearing, for having trouble with my right ear. My head's on my pillow and I can plainly hear thuds outside. It might just be wild rabbits and such, but still... It makes me at night.
