I used to be afraid of many, many things--though I'm still afraid of quite a few of them.
THINGS I USED TO BE AFRAID OF BUT AM NO LONGER:
-Those hand-dryer thingies in public restrooms. I had seen some show where a boy got sucked into one, and came to the conclusion that I would meet the same fate should I approach one while turned on. I just recently started using them instead of paper towels.
-This guy:
-This guy:
-The "Mars Attacks" trailer because of these guys:
-Aaand any kind of drain/vents. Especially those pool filters. I thought those could suck me up too.
THINGS I AM STILL SCARED OF:
-Bees/wasps. I am actually considering seeking professional treatment for this fear, because it is affecting my everyday life.
-Dams. If in a lake or something, I hate being at a point where a dam is even visible. Has to do with my fear of getting sucked into things, I suppose.
-Black holes. You get sucked into them.
-Tornadoes. Living wear I do, this is probably my only legitimate fear. Strangely enough, also has to do with getting sucked into things.
