What are things that scared you when you were little, yet you laugh at now?

The bathtub drain used to terrify me when I was like, five.

I thought some sort of monster lived in it.

I used to be afraid of robots as a little kid.

But man, robots are the ♥♥♥♥.

When I was very young I was scared of the sound the bombs make that you throw Bowser on in Mario 64. I don't even know why now, I guess my family kept the volume up a lot higher then.

The walrus from Pingu scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when I was a kid

Wind Waker, second time round, cabana, at the end you have to jump down into a pit of redeads.

These puppets. When I was a child, they were the most scariest things ever. They, as far as I was concerned, were the Devil's entertainers. They were to me what Possessed!Regan is to everyone else.

They still creep me right the ♥♥♥♥ out.

Why the hell did anyone think that these dolls were okay to be put on a children's show!? I had nightmares of the tall, skinny one crawling out from under my bed to drag me into Hell for YEARS!!

Spoiler: The Final Boss of Kirby 64  

I used to be frightened by 0², the final boss of Kirby 64, when I was young, especially with blood coming out of the boss's eye. Now I just realized that it does not look that frightening anymore.

Black people. xD

Seriously, I was 5 when I first saw a black woman and it scared the hell out of me. I thought she was evil or something. Since cartoons shows that black = evil (like Scar from lion king) I kind of thought that was true.

EDIT:

HOW could I forget Pennywise!? He made me hate clowns for all eternity and gave me nightmares about clowns for 5 years. He still creeps me out.

The muppets scared me too. Especially Animal, the blue bird-thingy, Elmo and Miss Piggy. I still don't like them.
