To be honest, my countrymen suffered significantly more because of Stalin; as ordinary civil people were deported to Siberia and such, whilst Hitler didn't pay much attention to us.

With that, I agree with Hombre! Dictators are cruel, but we hear about them more than enough on history lessons. :3

But is it because he was truly worse than the others? Hitler lost a war (and not just any war) and Germany was torn apart. As this happened it became easy for the winners of the war to see what had been going on in Germany and it was easy to call the nazis out on their crimes. But Russia was - at this time - still a force to be reckoned with, and feared... and certinaly hard to investigate. As the pictures of the holocaust was spread around the world, Russia, China and the like could execute millions and the holocaust became the posterchild of crimes against humanity. Rightfully so of course, but you need to understand that if Russia was defeated first in a similar manner as Germany, I have little doubt Stalin would be the first to come to mind.

I think Robert Kajuga was the greatest criminal. He was African and so people thought he couldn't kill people as well. It was really hard for him to get taken seriously as a horrible person. He then became the leader of an Anti-Tutsi group, while being a Tutsi and encouraged them to kill 1 million of his own tribe.


Fastest genocide in history was the Rwandan (which is what I'm talkiing about), Until 1942 the Holocaust wasn't at high speed, and even after the extermination never met the rate of Rwanda. In Rwanda a small group killed 1 million people in 3 months.


Ofcourse Carnegie and Rockefeller shouldn't be far from any list of criminals.

It depends on what you mean by "greatest."

Most people killed? Never caught? Most infamous? All these things are subjective. What I think makes a "great" criminal will differ from someone else's idea.

As it is, I hesitate to name a "greatest" criminal at all. Dictators, serial killers and the like are apotheosized enough already.

Even though he could be not real or real, I believe that the greatest criminal is Jack the Ripper (could be Jill the Ripper). I'm afraid of this person, (s)he didn't really killed that much women but it how
(s)he did it, rip open their bodies to take organs out or cut their throats.

Just a gang fight, and only seven dead. Which I mean obviously seven people dead is horrible but if we're comparing it to all criminals ever than. You know. Big deal. Sure they were pretty cunning with how they organized it but still. They weren't even able take down the leader of the gang they were going against. That was the person they were trying to kill to begin with, right? Laaame.

We had a pretty spectacular robbery a few years back. Probably not like greatest of all time criminals but nonetheless worth mentioning.

Henry Morgan. Not because he was a particularly spectacular pirate or any thing, but because any man who has a brand of rum named after him is a pretty cool guy in my books.

You don't understand how rich he was. He was worth 300 billion dollars in today's money. He could have given away over 99% and not have any impact to his quality of life.

Look at the stuff he did before 1901, he put his money before his workers and other common people time after time. AFter selling to Rockefeller it seems like he got the Lotterry syndrome.
