*holds you to her bosom* Oh child...
I love cadbury chocolate, it's always a pleaser. My favourite always changes. Here's a critique of some cadbury products, in no particular order of preference.
Flake!
Pros: It's light and flaky. It melts so quickly in your mouth cos of its flaky texture and it's just a bit fancy, really.
Cons: As much as I enjoy the texture it breaks pretty easily and is difficult to eat when driving (see I usually buy chocolate and try to finish it before I get home so I don't have to share with anyone)
Picnic!
Pros: There's so much stuff packed into one of these babies for it to constitute a small-ish meal. For this reason it was one of my favourites as a child (I was all about stretching my dollar as far as I could at the dairy/corner shop when purchasing sweets).
Cons: Now I'm old and it hurts my teeth to chew it.
Time Out!
Pros: It tastes pretty nice, I find it's a bit like a cross between a kit kat and a flake.
Cons: It's a bit boring, imo.
Moro!
Pros: Um
Cons: Yeah nah I don't really like it
Snickers!
Pros: I personally believe that this bar is like a Moro 2.0; it has everything a moro bar has but it also has peanuts so there's this almost-salty hint to every bite.
Cons: wait a minute YOU'RE NOT CADBURY!
Fry's Turkish Delight!
Pros: The filling is quite pretty looking
Cons: Too sweet for me
Pinky Bar!
Pros: It's pink and has marshmallow
Cons: I get sick of it very easily
Crunchie!
Pros: It's hokey pokey center is very crunchy, yet it melts on your tongue pretty fast. Sometimes I take a bite from one end then just rest my tongue on the inside to feel it go all bubbly as it melts almost immediately. This is my idea of fun.
Cons: The hokey pokey filling sometimes melts into these tiny little pebble like things in your mouth and they're kinda silly cos they either take too long to melt or they're too small to chew properly. Is anyone else familiar with this? Or is this just me not knowing how to Eat Properly
Roses!
Pros: WELL! These are by far some of my most favourite chocolates ever. They have a whole selection of flavours to choose from so you could never get bored when you eat a box. From lemon cheesecake to peppermint to coffee truffle, there are so many to choose from. These are typically what I would give to a parent on their birthday or mothers/fathers day. Notice how it's called Roses, when they're actually CHOCOLATES? It's like 2 gifts in one! Pure genius, honestly. And if you give them to your parents they most likely won't be able to finish it all cos it'll be too sweet for them so YOU'LL end up eating them. See why I like Roses so much?
Cons: There are no cons don't be silly
Milk Tray!
Pros: These are pretty fancy and make an excellent gift for a loved one or for yourself (a gift from you to you for being you). The fillings/flavours aren't as adventurous as they are in the Roses box. It's much simpler but it's still very nice.
Cons: A bit on the pricey side but I think it's well worth it.
Cadbury Continental Chocolates!
Pros: Can't get any fancier than these guys here. Yup. If you eat from a box of continentals you're pretty much a m o t h e r f u c k i n g p i m p.
Cons: Oh you're poor? That's too bad
Favourites!
Pros: It has pretty much all cadbury chocolates available in one box, all individually wrapped in convenient "fun size" packages.
Cons: If you don't like all the cadbury chocolates you're always left with a couple of pieces that you don't wanna eat cos you think they're gross. Or when you try to share it out amongst friends, everyone always takes the good ones and lefts the yuck ones behind and then you start trading pieces with one another and someone always misses out on what they actually want. Also the "fun size" is basically the same size as your thumb and where's the fun in that, cadbury?
