Sorry I missed your question dude.
Firstly: Dude there are heaps of ways to relax after work without drinking.
I LOVE drinking, seriously, I know how nice it is to come home from a long day and have an ice cold beer.
But on of the reasons beer helps you relax is because it is an escape. An escape from the way you feel, what is happening in your life, etc etc. Well dude think of how many other ways there are to escape! There is sleep, Television/visual media, internet, music, singing/playing music, seeing friends. All of these things take your mind off what you have a habit of over thinking and move into a more focused and applied state.
As for dealing with negative people, I do not really get irritated by negativity, so I have never had to deal with it as a problem too much. But if someone is just being a dick, I would probably just stop talking to them.

but what about identity? Grooming oneself in a fashionable way conveys eccentricity and more liberal ideologies around the constructions of the body.
My identity is tied with a very minimal and conservative fashion-expression, any deviation (tatoos, hairstyles, piercings, clothing, etc.) is met with extreme hostility by family, co-workers, and peers. How do I break this cycle? How do I groom myself in a fashionable, awesome way that allows me to portray comfortable eccentricity in a chic way?
wat do i do |
Indeed, your identity is expressed through your dress. To be honest, I do not have an answer any deeper than "why worry?" ;D
Reason being is, I actually am met with the same hostility and misunderstanding by my family and friends for my sense of fashion and visual identity as you do.
My mother is
convinced that I am a closet homosexual. And I often get called "gay" or told that I am a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by even my band and real life friends. Lol, dude I do not get an easy ride expressing my self the way I do with my tattoos, piercings and flamboyant dress sense. And in the end I stick with it, because well, firstly I have always had somewhat of a rebellious flare to me. I have always felt like an outsider ALWAYS, because I am an immigrant and do not feel I can identify with a culture or nationality.
Plus I am opinionated, so I have learnt to stick to my guns and not falter to the expectation of other people. In the end those old miss-attributed quotes by Dr. Suess ring pretty true:
You want my opinion? We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness -- and call it love -- true love. So be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
I know this isn't an answer of how to dress fashionably in a chic way (you're best going to Forte for that,
since what you want to wear is this!), because I think that doesn't tackle the important part of your question.
You should challenge the expectations of others. Why worry what they have to say?

Why not?
And I don't care about pansexualism. It's just people who don't have a preference to what gender they bone. Not my business and I dun give a ♥♥♥♥ about it.
Till the powers that be decide they don't deserve equality.
