Man Dies After Eating Cocaine Hidden In Brother's Butt | News One

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C.-Deangelo Mitchell is being charged with manslaughter after his brother, Wayne Mitchell ate cocaine that was hidden in Deangelo’s buttocks and died of a drug overdose. Wayne ate the cocaine to save his brother Deangelo from being charged with drug possession and Deangelo is now charged with involuntary manslaughter for his brother’s death.

ABC Action News Reports:

“One of us gotta do it, you the only one that don’t have any strikes. …You my little brother… I’m gonna get life,” Deangelo said to Wayne.
His bother complied and ate the drugs.
When officers saw the cocaine residue on the seat where Wayne sat, Deangelo told officers that his brother swallowed cocaine. Within the hour, Dwayne struggled to breathe, bled from his mouth and died.

This was the most touching story I've read all day... A true story of brotherly love.

I can think of nothing funny to say cause this is already stupid enough.

What the?... I don't even want to comment about that...

How is the US still a country?

Well, I guess he made a stupid mistake that costed him his life.

I'm sad that someone is dead.

I want to make a joke and probably a gif out of it but nevermind.

Sad news, and I know people are trying to be funny, but these guys had a family, show some damn respect

this is a classic example of some dickhead section editor thinking that the whole story is funny, which will color the entire of the entire story body and how people read the proceedings of the entire event. hence the internet response of "yo gross moron deserved to die."

what the ACTUAL story is is that little bro died trying to save his big bro from a life in prison by eating drugs. but the writer or whoever the editor was chose to focus on the "ick" factor of the story instead of the "oh my god" factor, all making light of a more serious issue, which is the three-strikes laws for possession.

well... I feel sorry for them and their family, but has someone called the darwin awards? the "three Strikes" thing actually makes drugs worse than they are. I don't support drugs, but its unfolding like prohibition did almost 100 years ago. in both cases, the gov't bans booze/other drugs, people want the said item, and will be willing to do stupid stuff to get it, often resaulting in death. Our justice system would be so much better if it just focused on big stuff and not locking up some guy with a canabis plant in his house, or by scaring these two people into doing something stupid like this. This stuff happens even while celebrities and rich bigwhigs get off scott free for perjury and other crimes that would get the average joe YEARS of punishment.

Who the ♥♥♥♥ would try to eat an ounce of coke and think they can live.

On the other hand, I can't stand American drug laws, especially on cocaine, meth and XTC. They're harsher on those than heroin. That was a mandatory minimum, I believe.

Otherwise I think Lly really hit the nail on the head. In truth this story is really sad and I can't imagine how the surviving brother feels.
