The Beer and All Things Alcohol Thread

so what are your favourite beers

the stuff I drink most often would probably be Sweetwater 420, Sam Adams Boston Lager, and Yuengling lager; i usually get the seasonal varieties of any brand when they're available for variety's sake

I am not a fan of beer, but it's slowly starting to grow on me. I do find Fat Tire delightful, but I can never drink more than a few sips.

I was also "okay" with gluten-free beer, and Cherry Wheat Sam Adams beer.

I've heard that Shock Top is really good, so maybe I'll start developing a taste for beer with that.


Anyways, I like Mike's Hard Lemonade. The label says "flavored beer," so it counts. >=D

And by "like" I mean.. like... have a love affair with.

I prefer whiskey, but if I'm to have a beer I like a Sam Adams or Guinness.

Old English. I pulled a trick on my brother saying I knew of this really good beer cheap beer when we were at the liquor store, and I first said O.E., he was confused. I hesitated on purpose then said "Olde English" and he called me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and denounced me for how horrible my taste was. Then he almost ruined his marriage because he went and got Four LOCO when his fiance at the time made him promise to never get it again.
It was the first beer I got drunk on, and I still like it. Everyonce in a while the first half of your first 40 is hard to down, but I was placed on this earth as a man, and so shall I remain.

Mickey's are good, but I now associate them with this kid who did a poem on them in my Junior English class and that general scene of Highschoolery. Plus, why get a malt that's the same% as a regular beer?

There's some beer called something like "Alpine Peaks", it's a 30 pack for 13.99 plus CRV and tax. It's a close to water tasting as possible, which is what I look for when I look to drink beer.

I understand connoisseur beers on the rare occasion, but in the end I kinda "prefer" the cheap light beers or cheap malt liquor. I understand they taste better, but I'm too rowdy and immature for all them chips.

Snow_Storm. Smirnoff Ice isn't beer, it's an alco-pop. Pretty much just a premixed drink.
If we were allowed to say vodka, Hangar 1 is my true favorite, but Stolichnaya is much more easy to find, not as expensive and is still snobby ass good vodka.

Blue Moon. I really want to try their winter seasonal.

First time I tried their Cherry Wheat I LOVED IT!!! Second time, I couldn't drink it. I think it has to do with the fruit flavored beers...they're good when you first have them, but after that, I couldn't drink it. That's happened to several of Sam Adam's flavored beers to me.

Heinekin is good. Also, Shock Top if Blue Moon is unavailable bc the two are so similar.

I am on board with this. Beer is pretty good, but whiskey and rum are my favorite things to drink alcohol wise. My brother gave me this Banana Rum he got from the Bahamas. Damn that was good, finished in a night though.

I drink any type of alcoholic drink.
That's the true German American way

my friends and I like to play Edward Forty-Hands, where you duct tape one to each hand and you can't take them off until you finish both.

It's a generally a good idea to leave free fingers for cigarettes and bathroom procedures.

i used to like Smirnoff Ice and ♥♥♥♥ back when I disliked beer because I thought Bud Light was representative of real beer

I generally like any kind of beer I've ever had. Though If I'm buying beer, I'll usually get Molson Canadian since it's an inexpensive everyman beer.

If I was going out to eat somewhere, I'd probably get a Guinness or Heineken since the price doesn't really matter.

Speaking of alcohol though, I'm going to work the overnight in a few hours. Are there any recommendations on what I should mix my rum with?

Coke seems to be the standard, but I don't really like Rum anymore....bad experience with it and vomited all over the place. Not fun. I literally cannot hold it down.

I always have fun when I drink. Even when I puke.

Though I generally was thinking outside of coke.

Dr. Pepper. Tahitian Treat is also really good, only case where you should use a clear or colored soda for a dark drink.

Pepsi and flavored colas are better because they're sweeter. All of these I would advise over CocaCola Classic. It's a catch-all chaser, but not the best at any of them.

I was actually kicked out of my HighSchool (though, not expelled) after finishing a fifth mixed in with Dr. Pepper. I accidentally told the teacher I was drunk by denying I was, when she had only pulled me outside of class because I was being loud.

I;ll probably try that stuff. Though I was hoping for fruitier things.

If there was ever a thread to be stickied...
