This idea of "correct languages" is iffy and divisive. A language is an every changing collection of semantic sounds that remains entirely objective. There is no central authority to dictate what is and is not correct as a form of a real world language save the general opinion of what the majority of people thinkk.

And there are many more Americans than Brits.

Only a created language can have any sort of overarching authority that can dictate what is and is not appropriate vernacular.

I for one do not support putting "u" in words that do not need it.

I think color just looks like... ehhh. Less interesting than COLOUR. I won't argue about English because it's silly to expect you guys to use what we use, even though I think ours is technically correct, English has been morphing and changing for centuries so it's not wrong for it to be changing more

There is no such thing as correct form of a language. A dialect and its words and weird spellings are just as correct as the BBC English; a language is an independent entity that changes individually and every user of it uses it on his or her unique way - that is how it's supposed to be done.

There are standard forms of English.

That doesn't make Texan English any less correct.

While we're on the topic of languages, there's been a rather racist but funny joke going around my school. For the sake of any Chinese people on the forums, I'll put the joke in spoilers to prevent offense.

The joke goes something like this...

"So how was the Chinese language formed? Well, it started a long time ago when a cook accidentally dropped his pots and pans down a staircase. He then recorded the sounds that the pots and pans made, and bam, the Chinese language was born.

'Ching, chang, chong, ying, ting, ling, long, yu, dao, yao, ying, yong, tong, bong. Ying yao ching chang chong."

I was told that one by my mother.
