Your homework habits

Since all of you are in school/was in school, explain how you completed homework and how you able to take on school.

I work ethics with doing homework were mediocre. I would play video games and go on some forum, causing my grades to be in the C or D range. I had to get a slap in the face in order to realize that I using my time poorly. Then I got up academically. Now, even though I go on ZU, I'm still able to complete my homework and get A's and B's in class. If I'm doing some type of homework, which I often do, I go on this forum, write, or read.

Edit: lol I typed homework as "homestuck" for one of the tags. I should go to bed.

Well, I've always been a horrible procrastinator, and I think it got worse during my 5.5 years of college. I was actually third in my high school graduating class, having almost tied with the much more motivated salutatorian. However... I never learned good study habits, despite my excellent grades up until that point.

When I was then placed in a college environment, with more freedom (and I was never the type to party or get drunk), money (I've spent my extra financial aid funds very unwisely over the years), constant computer access (really bad for me), and the opportunity to actually make several good friends, my performance began to slowly decline (extreme heartbreak and loneliness at one or several points probably only exacerbated it). Even then, I graduated with a GPA over 3.5, had a single C (possibly two), and nothing below. Still, if there's one lasting consequence of my failure to cultivate good academic habits, it's the fact that I don't really want to do anything with my particular subject that I received my degree for. I should have changed it, but by the time I realized that I should have, I had already been an undergrad too long and was burnt out.

Ugh, that was something of a tangent. On the topic of actually studying, I barely did. Most of my studying and work was done at the very last minute, with some of the work for my major subject's classes being started late in the evening the night before the due date. The reason? I was either gaming or putting the work off by constantly finding another website to visit.

I've seriously never done homework in my entire life.

1) During the events that I actually did my homework, I would do it for a few minutes, go on the computer, return to homework, then computer, repeat.
2) Either rushed to get it done before class or during class.

I have this really bad habit of not doing my homework at all... :/

I leave my homework until the last minute. If I even do it, that is.

I always did in ten or so minutes.

Right before the deadline. I sure was an idiot.

I wait till homeroom or study hall. Never do my homework at home unless it's a lot.

Do homework last minute, yet still get good grades.

As far as I've read, we all do the same.


We don't have much of homework on my school, more like projects and tests. I always try to start off with an optimistic mind like: "Well, it's only a little test, it won't be much reading. I have time for some TV.... and some internet.... and some movies.... and some gaming... and some going out with some friends...." And then I come home and start the panic reading.

I read to 3 AM then I go to bed, then I wake up 6 AM and go to school. I do this... Every fu**ing time and I never learn.

In fact, I'm doing this right now. I have science test tomorrow I believe... Oh well, wish me good luck.

I alwase forget to do my homework (or choose not to) but luckuly I have a smart yet sometimes stupid friend that lets me copy her homework ^-^

I mostly never did homework..and when I did, I'd do it in the classes before it was due or copy as much as I could off someone right before having to hand it in. xD I relied on my test grades to give me a passing grade. Yay for photographic memory!

I regret not trying harder though, was a mistake since I could have done well.

I sometimes did my homework at home. Shocking, I know. If it was math homework, I always left it until right before my math class. I had trouble in math pretty much all through my 12 years of school.

Now that I look back on it, I wish I would have applied myself more. The only reason I did really good in my math class my senior year, was because if I didn't, I wouldn't have graduated. :|

I always done my homework during lunch break at school just to avoid completing them at home.

I usually try to finish most ofmy work during school, when I remember most of the subject than rather at home. I come home late (8-9 PM) and stay up till 1:00AM doing projects, homework, and other chores around the house. I don't get much sleep during the week or on weekends. I keep an A-B average in my classes but A's on my assignments which is SO EASY but SO MANY assignments

WHAT HOMEWORK HABBITS!?!?!?

In high school I never did my homework, but aced my tests giving me a nice average of around 70.

In CEGEP, I actually did my homework because that was the bulk of the mark, but usually with as little time to spare as possible and did well, same with university.

I procrastinate a lot, so much so that I leave my homework till the car journey to school. Good thing it's a 40 min drive

I always wait til the last minute. XD
I should probably write this paper that's due tomorrow..

I do all of my homework, except I do it the night before or in Band. I still managed to get A's and B's
