Leather Jackets

What does everyone think of leather jackets? Do you think they're cool, stylish? Or do you think they're just another stupid jacket? Discuss

Leather Jackets are the embodiment of awesome, when worn by the right person. Each Jacket style only fits one type of person, it gets pretty deep on how they work. They are awesome wear tho, I always wore mine everyday even in the summer, that's how awesome they are.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody pull off a leather jacket since grease.

I have no idea what it is, it's black leather and older. Thicker than the new jackets I've seen. It has normal pockets and breast pockets. The breast pockets have larger buttons on them and it has four large buttons up the front. It has more ridges and a good defined shape to it as well, and again it's older and worn and better.

They've always looked really stupid to me. Too cliche.

It depends on how you wear it.

They seem pretty dumb to me. The attract heat in the summer and let cold in in the winter.

I'd much rather have a nice sports jacket or a blazer.


Much better than looking like a greaser, in my opinion.

I have a badass long leather coat. It rules.

I have a pleather bomber style jacket. It's asymmetrical and has a pretty cool neckline, it's pretty feminine.



This isn't what it exactly looks like, but it's pretty similar in style.

No, I don't own leather jackets. I don't even think about leather jackets, or anything like that. Uh, I guess they are okay.

I only buy leather motorcycle jackets.... jackets aren't for looks they are for practicality.

For me, leather is very practical.

Not when you're wearing real leather, not talking about the60$ leather outerwear youngsters buy at H&M or UrbanOutfitters.

Real leather is always room temperature until you sit on it. Consequently, it will change to your body temperature. Fake leather can't breathe at all. Once it is at body temp, it gets sticky because it can't get rid of the heat.

I think leather jackets can be pretty hot. They look especially great on certain people, but awful on others.

I don't wear leather jackets because they're far too common, it's very difficult to find one which none of my friends already own or use on a daily basis.

But I don't think there is anything silly or lame about them, I've seen heaps of people pull off leather jackets well.

I think they´re well out of fashion, at least in the UK. Hardly see people wearing them anymore.

I used to wear nothing but leather jackets, but my biker-style one is about fifteen sizes too big (it has pockets everywhere but that doesn't really matter if it doesn't look good - substance is nothing without style!). So now I wear a black knee-length fabric coat, usually open, with a scarf. Looks pretty Doctor Who if I say so myself.

I've only got one jacket that looks leatherish, but it's made of different stuff. I don't wear it that often, but only because the collar is sort of high and weird. If it were more feminine, I'd wear it more.
