Zelda Universe Moderator History - The Big List

They were a part of the Temple of Knowledge I think, and we merged the Temple of Knowledge into GCC earlier this year.

Yeah, both technology and language arts was a part of Hyrule University (I think it was called? Or has it always been Temple of Knowledge?) - not subforums of GCC.

Yes, yes. But what's Temple of Knowledge/Hyrule University now? GCC; exactly.

I updated the names of the boards to current standards for two reasons:

1) To help out newer members (hell, even I had no idea a Mathematics board existed at one point).

2) To makes things easier for me.


I updated the list with links to profiles. It makes name changes easier to manage for me. Plus, for all you lazy members who don't want to use the search function --- I just saved you 10 seconds of your life.

Well, they're not GCC - they're gone. They weren't discussion boards, it was supposed to be like a school. People could ask questions, or people could post guides/lectures. But it never really worked.

But hey, I don't mind going down in history as a GCC-mod.

We had the Temple of Knowledge for longest time up until the beginning of this year. It's not like it's ancient history or anything. Since there's no Temple of Knowledge now, GCC would essentially be the equivalent of it.

If I posted "Social Studies" as a board, some people might be wondering where that board might be located now. I could have simply named the boards accordingly, but I wanted to avoid as much confusion as possible.

Oh yeah, i remember that board. It was kinda inactive.

Theres really no need for anything like that to return since most people traffic GCC and SD anyway.

there doesn't seem to be many entertainment mods in the past.

but it's a cool list and i really respect you for going through all of that trouble and putting in all of that effort...everybody that did this! (xeno and others)
longer than i thought it'd be, too.

Nolan reigned supreme as entertainment mod for the longest time. He was so good at it, there wasn't really need for other entertainment mods.

yeah i figured since he joined in 2003 and i'm pretty sure he was a/the mod there when i joined he was probably the reason for the lack of other mods.

i recall bex being an entertainment mod though.

This was such a huge and lengthy effort!

The 'decade' comment was because the site is almost ten years old and you've gotten a detailed list covering it, if that was what made things confusing...

couldn't tell ya man. though i guess my time in the entertainment section has now served a purpose!

Oh yeah, I feel harsh now. This is really solid work, Xeno. Felt great to browse through the list and remember people I had almost forgotten. Thanks for putting so much effort in it!
