Bush or Kerry?

Just curious. If your interested in politics, vote. Otherwise...don't. It'd be nice for some people who actually understand what Kerry wants and what Bush should do and blah blah.

Re: Bush or Kerry?

When you have a republican president and a republican-led congress a lot of crazy things are gonna be happening =]

I usually don't care who is president judging from party or political viewpoint. I just want congress and the presidency to be led by two different parties, one by the democrats and one by the republicans. Right now both are held by the republican party and you can see the effect it has had on this nation.

*votes kerry*

err wait...I'm 16.

I've Heard Kerry Wants To Reinstate The Draft.. And You Can't Run To Canada Because Of Some Treaty Canada And America Signed In 2001.. I'm Canadian So That Blows.. If This Is True, Bush Would Definitely Get My Vote (If I Was American) For The Simple Fact That I Aint Going To War Against My Will.. And If It Is True, And Kerry Gets Elected, I Move To Japan..Lol.. So I Guess It Wouldn't Be That Bad.. My Mom Even Said She'd Pay For Me To Go To Japan If They Called Me To War.. .. Ehem.. Anyway, Back To The Point, If This Is True (Hopefully Not) Then Kerry Is A ばか..

WTF?

If you read it completely it said the draft might be made if BUSH, not Kerry, was again the president. Here is the excerpt:

Quote:
The draft $28 million has been added to the 2004 selective service system (sss) budget to prepare for a military draft that could start as early as June 15, 2005. Selective Service must report to Bush on March 31, 2005 that the system, which has lain dormant for decades, is ready for activation.
See anything wrong? Assuming the president is going to be re-elected is folly by any party who assumes that.

now, people are going to go, "those evil republicans!". But take a look at who sponsored it:

Sponsor: Charles Rangel (D)

Co-Sponsors: Neil Abercrombie (D)
Donna Christian-Christensen (D)
John Conyers Jr. (D)
Alcee Hastings (D)
John Lewis (D)
James Moran (D)
Nydia Valezquez (D)
Eleanor Norton (D)
Corrine Brown (D)
William Lacy Clay Jr. (D)
Elijah Cummings (D)
Sheila Jackson-Lee (D)
Jim McDermott (D)
Fortney Stark (D)

wow, those evil republicans.

also, the legislation has been on referral to the senate comitee on armed services since early 2003.
(if you don't know what it means, it means it is dead)

Re: Bush or Kerry?

I honestly don't care. It doesn't even matter for me now, I can't vote. But as far as I'm concerned, I have no opinion. To me Bush is a very nice, great guy, but as a president he's a bit mediocre. Kerry seems decently good, but he seems sooooo boring. I swear, I hate un-original boring people. I've always liked the presidents who have personality, are lively and can give fiery speeches, that's why i liked Clinton a lot, and why Bush ain't the worst thing to me.

I hope I'm not like this when I'm eligable to vote...

-_-;

Apparantly, neither of these guys are fit to be President, but I'd rather have Kerry than Bush. These next four years are going to suck, regardless of who wins the national popularity contest. Personally, I'm still chanting "Go Green Party".

Re: Bush or Kerry?

kerry would not reinstate the draft. in november, he's getting my vote. not that it'll make any difference in virginia. everyone here is a republican...

as for ralph nader and the green party, I really wish people wouldn't vote that way. I'm a socialist, and I hate nader. he's just stealing votes from the democrats. anyone who would vote green would take kerry over bush, and in an election as close as this coming one will be, every vote counts.

do rei mi:

stop dragging this thread to offtopicness and reply to what I actually said in my previous post, ok? You said NOTHING about changing thoughts. I take it you're being an ignorant person and still saying that you would vote Bush TOTALLY based on the outdated draft paper(which you said and probably still do say Kerry wanted to reinstate it) which has been debunked so many times.

---

Anyways, only 4 months left until Bush is outta the white house and kicked back to Texas ;D
The only thing that I am against with Kerry is that I have a feeling he won't be as hard as Bush is on terror. Hopefully Kerry will guide the US in the right direction against terrorism.

I also have a feeling that this year a lot of people will be voting. It seems today that Bush has delt into many things people are either strickly for or against, like abortion or stem cell research or gay marriage which he is strongly against. Not to mention the war he started in Iraq where there was no unified sentiment. Everyone was happy with Afghanistan but Iraq may have been a mistake for Bush.

Re: Bush or Kerry?

You know what? I can honestly say....
I. Don't. Know.

Without going into a vast political debate, I feel as if, as always in any election.. it's voting for the lesser of two evils.
Should you vote to keep course,
Shoud you vote for change?

I want to know all the FACTS before I vote, so more than likely I will be biting my nails trying to figure out who the hell to vote for up until the November election.

I know one thing though, I still stand by my vote in 2000.... and it's not for the man who is in the White House right now......

Re: Bush or Kerry?

Come elections, I will only be 16, so this doesnt really apply to me.
Though, I do wish I could vote, I think its crucial this year to get Bush out. I have no clue who I would vote for on a whole, but between those two, John Kerry is the "lesser of two evils", IMO.

Three things people will never agree upon: Religion, Politics, and Abortion.
This may just end up a place for extreme flaming...
simmer. simmer now.

On topic: Just in case you guys didn't know by my first post in here, I'm actually leaning towards Kerry....

Where did I call you names and make fun of you? All I did was call you ignant then you come making fun of my intelligence. Let it be known that you have brought me out by flaming me, where all I did was call you ignorant.

Alright, prepare for an intellectual smackdown beeoch.

First off, you come into this thread saying complete bull❤❤❤❤. I debunked it and made you look like a complete dumbass, and you know that. Kerry nor Bush is planning to make the draft in 2005, it is just a ply by the democrats to draw votes away.
Apparently you were too stupid to realize it was fake so you came here and spat your bull❤❤❤❤.

Now, let's look at your attention span. First you said you would vote for bush:

Quote:
Bush Would Definitely Get My Vote (If I Was American)
and then...

Quote:
I Wouldn't Vote For Him Either Because I Don't Like Him
Oh yeah, you forgot to finish that, dumbass. Either because you don't like him...and? I guess you're too stupid to finish your own thoughts.
Yeah, you sure do have a firm stance don't you, little sheep?

So, at first you're voting(if you were american) for bush because kerry is bringing the draft. and now, you're not voting for him because you don't like him?
Don't distort the evidence, it's right there.

Quote:
"I Dont Give A ---- About American Politics" Because I Am Not American
That's the stupidest thing I've heard anyone utter. First off, I'm American and I know of Canadian politics. Do I care? yes. Am I canadian? no. Pulling out the "I'm a foreigner" card is the cheapest excuse in the book, make an argument for or against your decision, don't back away like you have done.

Also, ever heard of diplomacy? Our world is now even more interdependent, and dumbasses like you come along and destroy the civilized world with not caring in other affairs. Tell me, did the french care for the americans during the civil war? did the US care for Europe during both world war 1 and world war 2? does the US currently care what the leader of North Korea is doing right now?
The answer to these is yes. If the Americans were stuck up assoles like you most of us would be dead and taken over by Assyrian rulers.

Also, your amounf of ignorance astounds me. Basically, you don't give a crap about other nations, do you?

Quote:
"I Dont Care"
Of course you don't, that's why you're a dumbass. Not caring about anything will bring you success in your life, but what do you know about success anyways?

Not caring is the poor man's way of saying, "I don't know". Here is two cents, go buy a brain on e-bay then try to comprehend your waffling situations.

Quote:
I DONT Still Think That Kerry Reinstated It Because You Have Told Me Otherwise.
HE NEVER INSTATED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU DUMBASS, THE DRAFT HASN'T BEEN REINSTATED SINCE THE VIETNAM WAR!
Go get a first grade education education then come back, ok? kerry never reinstated the draft. I can't believe you were stupid enough to think Kerry "reinstated" the draft when he isn't even president.

Quote:
Like I Said In My Previous Post I Didn't Know That And I Had Simply Heard That Kerry Said It On Another Forum.. I Was Only Going On What I Had Heard Elsewhere.
*ahem*

Hey genius, if you don't know what you're talking about then try shutting up, ok? It's painfully obvious you tried to misinform us by outdated and old information.
Oh yeah, and don't spread rumors dumbass. Don't retreat into the pussy comment of "I heard it elsewhere", you knew damn well what you were talking about and you were wrong. If you're not sure about what you're talking, it's best to shut up.

Quote:
In My Last Post I Told You That I Didn't Know That It Wasn't Kerry And That I Didn't Care About American Politics Anyway, And That WAS Responding To What You Said And Was All I Really Had To Say..
Oh wow. Double negative sir, you just made the stupidest mistake ever possible.

So you DID know it was Kerry? Here genius, let's go back one post.

Quote:
I Didn't Say I Heard Kerry Say It Himself
OK, theres two things wrong dumbass.
1: KERRY NEVER SAID IT. Once again, your lack of intelligence amuses me.
2: You contradicted yourself, again! congrats man on being a dumbass.

Quote:
When All I Did Was Say Something I Heard..
Then don't say it and spread the lies you liar. You sure do a good job a lying to everyone, good job. Oh yeah, how are you a liar? Well lets go back. You said you would vote for bush, and now you're saying otherwise. wow. If I didn't know any better I would call that a lie!
That's how these things called "rumors" start too. once one person makes up a lie(like you did) then other will believe it and then it will spread. It's my duty to stop liars like you from spreading it.

Quote:
Re-Read My Posts And You'll Notice Your Arguing Against Things I Didn't Even Say..
Please, do tell. where am I fighting against something you didn't say? Oh wait, you're just pulling crap out of your ass

Good job on bringing on the evidence numbnuts. I want you to point out where I fought against something you didn't say. If you look hard enough, you still won't find it.

Quote:

Oh yeah you're so big and tough mister. I'm quivering in my pants.
Actually, get an education then come back. I will not shut up, I will point out the lies and intentional misinformation you are bringing forth and putting it down.

Re: Bush or Kerry?

*Sigh* You Are Truly A Jackass, Ok, Get This, I Said Bush Would Definitely Get My Vote ONLY Because Of My Knowledge That Kerry Was Reinstating The Draft, Thus After I Found Out He Wasn't, I Said I Would Not Vote For Either, Get It ? Good. On To Your Next Foolish Assumption. Oh Yes I'm Sure You Care Loads About Canadian Politics.. Tell Me, Who Will You Be Voting For In The Next Election ? Oh That's Right, Neither Candidate, Why ? Because Your Not Allowed To Vote And It Is Not Your Country. Thus Why I Would Vote For Neither For An AMERICAN ELECTION. Next. "HE NEVER INSTATED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU DUMBASS, THE DRAFT HASN'T BEEN REINSTATED SINCE THE VIETNAM WAR!" Yes. I Know. So What Are We Arguing ? Oh Right, It's Just Another Thing You Said To Try To Look Smart. Once Again You Argued Against Nothing. Next. "Hey genius, if you don't know what you're talking about then try shutting up, ok? It's painfully obvious you tried to misinform us by outdated and old information." I Stated Alot Of Times I Wasn't Sure And I Was Simply Asking For Confirmation. I Said "I've Heard" "If This Is True," "Anyway, Back To The Point, If This Is True (Hopefully Not)" How Stupid Do You Have To Be To Say I'm "Spreading Rumors" ? Haha You're Such An Idiot It's Sad, Notice How Many Times I Stated I Was Not Sure. That Is Not "Spreading Rumors" God You're Such A Loser. Next. "1: KERRY NEVER SAID IT. Once again, your lack of intelligence amuses me." This Is The Part Where I Am Actually Starting To Lean Towards The Fact That Maybe You Have Some Form Of Brain Disease, You Even Used The Quote "I Didn't Say I Heard Kerry Say It Himself" Which I Said, Yes, I Just Agreed That Kerry Didn't Say It, So Once Again Another Point You've Just Pulled Out Of Thin Air. Next. Notice How Every Quote You Used Was From My Last Post ? You Never Took Any From My First Because You Nitce There Is Nothing In My First To Fight About, But Somehow You Turned It Into An Argument, Then Took My Responses To Your Dimwitted Posts And Used Them Against Me, Which Made No Sense Anyway, So No Biggie. Next. "Oh yeah you're so big and tough mister. I'm quivering in my pants." Oh God, Please, Give Me Your Address, I Will Happily Come There And Stomp Your Head In, If You Like, I Will Give You Mine.. You Have No Idea How Much I Would Like To Beat That Computer Nerd Little Head Of Yours, Act Tough On The Net.. Go On.. Try To Be Cool.. ZU Isn't The Place For This And I'm Trying To Keep My Patience.. "I will point out the lies and intentional misinformation you are bringing forth and putting it down." Talk About Paranoid.. Wtf Are You Talking About ? This Isn't Some Spy Game You Moron, I'm Not Trying To "Bring Forth Lies And Misinformation" Man You're A Jackass.. And Of All The Times You Call Me Stupid, I Can Guarantee I'm Smarter Than You, So Sit Down, Shut Up, And Maybe I Won't Hunt You Down And Teach You To Respect Your Superiors.
