What is the worst thing you accidentally ate or drank, either thinking it was something else or not realizing you ate it?
Once, I put a water glass on my nightstand at night to drink. I didn't finish it, and when I woke up the next morning I was thirsty so without thinking or turning on any lights except the sun I reached over and took a big sip, not realizing until it was already going into my mouth the live spider that had fallen into it.
Definitely the sandwich from Starbucks I bought the other day. I was minding my business while I took a huge bite out of the sandwich, and it was just the foulest taste I've ever experienced in the longest time. Even after spitting the piece, I couldn't get that awful taste out of my tongue. I tried to wash it down with Pellegrino, but it only made the taste more sour.
Damn, it was awful. I went back to Starbucks and threw the sandwich on their faces.
We used to have an incredibly old fridge that dispensed chilled water. One time I got some water and took a sip without looking in the glass. When I removed it from my lips I noticed a big chunk of black sludge. I promptly vomited.
There was also this one time I tried this vodka cheese, which was absolutely terrible. It was intended to taste that way though so...
In elementary school, going across the monkey bars, my hands slipped and I hit the ground flat on my back. A bunch of woodchips flew up, with one of them going in my mouth. I accidentally swallowed it. It was sharp and jagged and unpleasant.
Just yesterday I took a bite out of a chunk of cheese. I assumed it was alright, but when I looked down, it was covered in mold. Naturally I spat it out and scrubbed my mouth out. Al,so, there was this other time I was having a bowl of Fruit Loops when a fly landed in it, and I ate it. When I realized that I had done so, it was too late :<
If you've got balls, I'm not dicking up your anything. - HH Quesadillas!
I'm really picky about what I eat, so I can't really say I've had anything too nasty. I'm one of those people who's terrified of getting food poisoning. ;___; However, I had this quiche yesterday which was pretty foul--didn't taste like quiche at all.
I also ate a bug, but that's because I wanted money.
I once fried a couple pieces of chicken with confectioners sugar instead of flour. It was right after my family had moved, we bought new storage containers but nothing was labeled yet.
I thought it was weird that the crust of the chicken was such a golden brown so quickly (but of course that was the sugar caramelizing).
Uncooked chicken, a sickly sweet crust, and spices do not make a very good combination.
Definately the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted.
