Zelda Universe - The Quest of the Administrator

Welcome to the Official kickoff and Announcement of the upcoming RPG, Zelda Universe - The Quest of the Administrator. Inspired by Peefy's initative, I decided to create the first ZU RPG based on both the chat and the forums. I've been working on it now for 3 days, learning the system, and I have finally kicked out enough to constitute an intro sequence. Here is the intro, in all its glory:

There is no sound, I killed the sound to save room and make the movie smaller. I'll have something you can actually walk around and interact with people up soon.

I just finished watching the video. Looking pretty good right now, and with a bit more work this thing will turn out quite well. A few things you should consider, though...

A Show Picture command would be much better for displaying pictures (as opposed to in text boxes), 'cause you can move the pictures and modify them (make them ripple, etc.), and they generally look nicer. There are also some small grammar things that should probably be fixed up..

Not a bad start, though. Just be prepared to revise the crap out of this thing.

Oh, and I can send you a huge-ass folder of midis (22 megs, 801 songs) if you need them, in case you want some more selection outside of the default music.

This looks interesting, from what I can tell from the screenshots you have in your directory there. I'm currently downloading the movie file so I can see how it looks. Thank you for saving the sound out of the clip.. it makes the download for me, and other 56kers out there more tolerable.
Once it downloads, I'll edit this post to tell you my opinion. ~_^

Yeah, it looks pretty cool so far. I wonder how many of the ZU Members you'll be able to include. And if you have MSN messenger, I can also send you a few midis, although I mainly have Pokemon and Golden Sun ones.

Pretty cool. And pretty dang hilarious. I think it will be pretty interesting to see how it turns out.

I just watched it. Not bad, but the grammar is a little off, and "over run" is "overrun". Excellent job, though.

You might not want to use a monotype font: it's difficult to read. I had a lot of trouble reading what they were saying, and I have perfect vision. Maybe it's just that I didn't go full screen with it or something?

Anyway, besides a few errors (that everyone makes), it rocks! Will we be able to move around and control our own characters and not just watch them move?

Nah I use RM2K as well, have been for a while. Looks pretty good so far, but you could make it better...
