Do You Own An Ocarina?

I don't have an ocarina, but I think it would be really cool. I just need to learn how to read music. Docjazz4's YouTube channel has a lot of cool ocarina videos on it, and he is really good.
But yeah, do you own an ocarina?

Brandon bought me an OoT-based Ocarina as a gift from a geeky fair he attended. It came with song books with all the OoT/MM tunes, too. I've been practicing on it, but I'm pretty terrible. Still, it's a super-lovely gift.

I'd like one, but I'm not prepared to get one... unless I won the Ocarina giveaway lol.

It's on my list. It goes Violin (in the mail), cello, bass, ocarina, sax, whatever else I can come up with. They're will most likely be a few guitars in between every so instrument.

I have one lying around somewhere.

I have a harmonica, which is infinitely cooler than an ocarina.

Unfortunately I can't play mine.
But I'm going to get a new one sometime soon, as the one I have now is a tremolo, which is impossible to bend notes on and is a bit large and unwieldy. I'm gonna see if I can try my luck with a good ol' blues harp.
It's unfortunate, too, since I really like the sound the tremolos make.

You are awesome for posting that video. It irritates me that I haven't been able to find someone that good with a harmonica to jam with.

I can't play any instrument, but if I were to learn, it'd be the harmonica (by ear, of course, since I know absolutely nothing about the particulars of music).

My three favorite instruments are acoustic guitar, piano, and harmonica, but the other two involve tasks too complicated for my hands to pull off.

Everyone starts off saying that, you should give it a try

Harmonica is a great instrument, it just is. It's something that seems so simple (isn't of course) but can blend in so well with so much music.

I've had an Ocarina for a few years now, got it as a birthday present. The one I got was the one advertised in Nintendo Power.

My favourite instruments are:

- Ocarina
- Tin whistle
- Shakuhachi flute
- Cello
- Harp
- Acoustic guitar
- Violin

Out of these, I can only play the ocarina though.
I'd love to have those Zelda rupee ocarinas.

Incidentally, I used to really dislike the harmonica, but it's grown on me. I think it's because of this tune:



The harmonica part starts at 2:20.

I thought of getting one. But still haven't decided yet. Might get one soon though. I know how to play it since i have the Ocarina App for Ipod Touch xD

Oh, you don't.

Dude, harmonica is so easy to learn, and so fun to play. Just pick it up and blow into it. Then after a few minutes of that, head over to youtube and look up some basic tutorials. This will take you little more than 10 minutes, and, whalah, you're playing a decent harp.

Yeah, that's what I plan on doing. I just haven't learned because the harmonica I have is totally unsuited to it (even though I really love how it sounds).
EDIT: All I ever really figured out how to play on that damn thing is "Michael Row the Boat Ashore". And why that particular song, I have no idea.
