Do You Own An Ocarina?

I've got one, and i know how to play most Zelda songs on it. Even some newer ones, too.

I have a violin and a Bösendorfer piano. Now try to beat that. They're much better that a tiny little ocarina. Hmpf.

i have an ocarina shaped like a frog. dont ask why.

I have replicas of both the Fairy Ocarina and the Ocarina of Time. I recently bought a second OoT when they recently released those newer, more accurate-looking ones.... I also have a plain, wooden ocarina my dad bought for me when I was 4. I never really played the wooden one, though, just because I'm afraid it'll get messed up somehow. Ceramic ones are much easier to clean.

I was thinking about getting one, to help with learning to sight read music. Though I'll probably end up getting a tin whistle instead.

I got one last year for christmas. My mom was asking me if I thought I would want one.I told her no. I guess she thought I was just saying that, because she got me one anyway. It's a nice collecters item though. Even though it's not a replica of anything -_-
It's still neat.

I made a horrible mistake of buying a double ocarina without knowing how to play a pendant ocarina XD whoopsie. I'm usually pretty fast at picking up instruments, but I never really touched that one. I want an STL Zelda rupee to learn the basics of the pendant style (and also cuz it'd be awesome to have), and then I can probably figure out the double a little easier.

I've also been looking at songbird's OoT replica and the Muse. god...the Muse is gorgeous. I know I'd be able to pick up a sweet potato a lot easier than the pendant - it's more linear. I've asked for the Muse for christmas.

and at some point, I need to get a "beater" ocarina that I can take everywhere with me, that I wouldn't be heartbroken if it broke or got stolen or whatever.

I do have one, but it's not an OoT Ocarina, it's one of these kinds. My personal opinion, those kinds aren't that great considering they don't have such a large range in notes (or maybe mine's just crappy). But hey, it's my ocarina, and it catches people's attention when played at the park.

The Muse is a cool ocarina. It has a trippy design. Like Tool's album covers lol.
I'm gonna ask for one for Christmas. On STL, the 12 Hole "Echo" Ocarina. It says it has a super rounded chamber, and unprecedented renosance. That means awesome sound quality, so that's a major plus. And it comes with a Zelda songbook, which I know has many songs, a Folksong book, an instructional book, so I can learn how to read music, and a protective bag. And for a very reasonable price. And it's on sale. Like a lot of the ocarinas on STL are. Then afterwords, work my way up to a double.

No, I don't. But it would be cool if I did own one.

I added the Echo Ocarina to my Christmas List. Hopefully I get it. That would be awesome. Playing Zelda tunes lol!

@aspenfox: Yeah, I can understand why you'd say that, cause Peruvian Ocarinas are usually for show.

I think it's best not to immerse the ocarina in water. To be on the safe side, use a damp cloth to clean the outside.

To clean the airway, put a thin strip of paper in the mouthpiece - gently rub the sides of the airway. You might get a bit of powder coming out, but that's normal.

i have a licensed zelda edition ocarina that was signed by, hell i forget who i got it as a gift in 1999. ill post pics later im sure somebody else has the same one
