Halloween is over and now let's try and shift over to the:
Christmas spirit!!



What are your plans for over the holidays?
What kind of christmas tree are you getting?

As for me, I am excited for this years Christmas holiday. Nothing is really planned yet, just the usual typical traditional christmas that I have with my family. We usuallyget the Norweigan Spruce tree, same kind we always get year after year.

My list for Christmas is quite video game/ movie extensive. See, I just bought a PS3 and a bunch of games are coming out soon so I'm asking for:
Assassin's Creed II (PS3)
Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (on BluRay)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (on BluRay)
Star Trek (on BluRay)

And I know that I will most definately be eating a ****-load of chocolate.

See what you've done, corporate America? You have bred us a race of people who celebrate inconsequential holidays 58 days in advance. I weep.

I'm trying to decide whether to stay home and spend Christmas with my mom, which is a lot more fun, or go to my favorite place in the world (Seattle) and spend Christmas with my dad, who I havn't seen in a year, who isn't fun at all to spend Christmas with.

;-; Why do I have to make these decisions waaaah.

Christmas is by far my favourite time of year. Not because I get presents (although that a plus for sure!) or for any religious sinificance, but because of the whole atmosphere arounf the holidays. The snow, te music, the TV specials, the smell of a Nova Scotia blue spruce in the living room.It's all great for me!

I absolutely love Christmas. It's the atmosphere that really makes me excited. Though it's a shame that us Australians celebrate it in Summer. I want to celebrate Christmas inWinter for once, dammit.

I like celebrating Christmas 58 days before it really needs to be. It's all about the atmosphere. I find people are just better to deal with around Christmas time, cause they're way more cheerier. Myself included. I don't care what corporate America turned it into - I don't think it's about the gifts, splendor, etc that every store tries to sell.. it's the atmosphere for me.

it would be awesome if everyone made a big deal about thanksgiving here in America =/ it is way better then Christmas.

I adore Christmas. It's about a week and a half before my birthday (January 6th) and it's all exciting. I love waking up on Christmas morning and opening presents and being with my family. I also love snow. Snow is awesome.

I'd probably kill myself trying to ski/snowboard, so no. I might just play in the snow.

Spirit Tracks, for sure... My parents will make me wait for Christmas, I guarantee it. I don't know what else... Maybe some clothes.

To those saying it's too early: Everything starts gearing towards Christmas once November hits anyway. There's nothing wrong with this thread. Honestly, the stores start stocking Christmas stuff as early as October. Ya'll are making a deal out of nothing.

Soon? It's over a month away.

It snowed today, so ****ing much. I hate snow.

I'll probably have to celebrate xmas alone. ._. Well, with the parents, but without the love interest, so it's poopy.

I really don't ask for much anymore. Maybe a few shirts or a game. I'm mainly there for the occasion rather than the swag.

People who are complaining about it being too early to discuss Christmas: you don't actually have to read the thread and you certainly don't have to post in it complaining. Seems like some kind of attempt to raise your post count to me.

Also my favorite thing about the "holiday season" is that around this time of year sales start going up for "holiday treats". Hot chocolate is going to be on sale for the next couple months which makes me very happy. As for Christmas plans, I don't make those until about the week before. My town has a giant pine tree in front of the town hall, and they have this little festival with music and free coffee/hot chocolate where they light the tree up with Christmas lights. I plan to attend if I'm off work.

My Christmas list is... money.
