During my winter break, I'll be doing things like winter projects for school (Teachers already told us about all the wonderous projects we'll be doing over winter break. Ha ha...), probably playing at some winter parties and such with the Jazz band, Christmas, Christmas parties, New Years parties, and anything else I feel like doing.

What kind of christmas tree are you getting?
A real nice fake one that has a spin on it. We got it at a Thrift Store, and it was brand new and the nicest one we've ever had. We never get real ones anymore. Real ones are nice, but not when you get Poison Ivy whenever you get one in your house.

Do you ski or snowboard, or do any other fun festive activities?
It doesn't really snow in my area until January. If we're lucky and it snows before the new year, there'll be plenty of snowball fights.

What are you asking for christmas?
Some video games and CDs. I've been wanting to get a 2nd Electric Bass or a Piano, but I need to decide between the two.

Travelling over the holidays?
Nah. All of our relatives live close, so we don't need to travel to see the family.

Eating immense amounts of chocolate?
Store chocolate? Yes. Homemade? Unless it's my aunt's peanut butter fudge, no.

I can it's hard to ignore everything around you because of decorations, commercial sales, songs w/e. But honestly, this is a thead, you really don't have to read it man. If you see it on the w posts list or something, just scroll down and look at the next thread. Let us have some fun with other people who like to celebrate Christmas rediculously early.

I really can't deny that, but such a thread is open to others' opinions. If people say "I have no plans right now because I don't ****ing celebrate Christmas until it's acutally here (or at least the correct goddamn month), then that's their say on the matter.

Wait, wait, wait...you do realize there's another Holiday in between Halloween and Christmas. It's called Thanksgiving. The time where we should be thankful for the people around our lives, and reflect upon what's happened this year (go Obama) and for what's to come in the next few weeks (and then you get plastered on New Year's and do it all over again on Thanksgiving next year). The few days before Thanksgiving I usually go to a certain soup kitchen in Park Street and volunteer for a few hours. Then I head on over and help my church to fold & organize donated clothing for the homeless (it really gets cold this time of year). After that, I go over to my parent's house, help getting out some of the heavy boxes full of winter clothing from storage for them, and when it comes to cooking it's usually been my job to peel the potatos and help my father season the turkey the night before.

What kind of christmas tree turkey are you getting?
Most likely a 14-15 pound Butterball turkey.

Do you ski or snowboard, or do any other fun festive activities?
We're Dominican, we don't like the ice/snow Well I do snowboard (but I don't own one myself, nor have I done so in soo many years), but since I live in Boston, there aren't many mountains around to go to (that aren't out of the way).

What are you asking for christmas Thanksgiving?
I hope that God will grace us at the dinner table and hope to have the rest of the year without any further troubles.

Travelling over the holidays?
Only to my parents' house, and that's it.

Eating immense amounts of chocolate?
Maybe some Sparkling Cider and regular cider, but other than that, I'm really trying to cut back from the sweets (sweet potato is exceptional).

That's true, I can't say you're not allowed to do it, but like I said, let us just have some fun! And I didn't se the other thread, I thought it kind of odd it took this long.

We get our thanks out of the way early so we can ge all greedy and selfish soon.

Seriously though, BGS does bring up a good point. I didn't talk much about my wish list, so let me now. My lsit comes in the form of a catalogue. 12 pages, with pictures organized by product. Now when I tell people this many tell me I' selfish, but let me explain. I don't expect to get all or even most of this. In fact I probably only expect to get one or two things from it if any. I only do this because when I asked for one or two things, I'd get told my parents couldn't find them and I'd get something I really didn't want, and if I seemed at all displeased, my mom would get all upset. So instead of putting up with that, I started listing everything I could think of that I wanted, so at least f they couldn't find the things at the top of my list, they could get something else. However this was in the form of post-its all over the fridge, so after much complaining I put it in catalogue form.

Now let me go to the other side, which BGS brought up. What are you giving other people? Do you think it's equal to what people are going to get you?

Personaly I've been saving up for my cousin's presents. Two of my cousins, who live in Edmonton (I'm in the GTA), are like little sisters to me, so I will go to great lengths for them. Their dad tends to spoil their younger brother, and their mom doesn't have a lot of money to spend on them. So at christmas and burthdays I try to kind of spoil them. I'm getting one of them an iTouch (16G if I can still find one anywhere) and her sister spending money for an upcomming trip to NY which will be roughly equal to how much the iPod is. Dunno about other people yet, but I do think my giving will be close to my reciving.

^I was wondering why the OP would make a thread about Christmas when Thanksgiving hasn't even passed yet.

It would be an excellent time to introduce this when Advent begins (circa the 27th). For now it makes no sense.

I haven't even started planning for Thanksgiving or my birthday.

To be fair, I personally consider thanksgiving part of the holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas go together for me.

I didn't mention thanksgiving in this thread because I'm going to be sitting home alone without even a turkey or some mashed potatoes to celebrate. It's just... depressing. My friend wants me to fly up to Maine to celebrate with her family but dad's not having it. He wants me to take care of the house that week-end.

After I became ten, I stopped asking for twenty presents, and usually end up having my mom spending more to be equal for price on all of us. But, Spirit Tracks, another DS game I can't remember. That's all for now.

Well, my mom and stepfather got into a court case, and my siblings and I ended up visiting him in Wisconsin every summer/winter. Winter: the 26th; I am.
