The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is an attempt to categorize your personality into one of sixteen different types. Obviously, people are individuals, and as such, the narrowing down to a mere 16 different types means that it's not necessarily all that reliable (also, it's somewhat anecdotal), but I'm curious to see what the distribution of people who take the test here in
ZU is.
The sixteen types are based on four main traits:
Attitude: Introversion (I) vs Extraversion(E): Introverted people tend to focus more on concepts and ideas, spend lots of time reflecting and feel drained by too much social interaction, whereas extraverted people feel energized by talking to people, and focus on actions and objects.
Perception function: Sensing (S) vs Intuition (N): People who are type S prefer information that is tangible, solid and concrete. People who are type N prefer abstract ideas and concepts.
Judging function: Feeling (F) vs Thinking (T): People who are type F tend to rely more on emotions and empathy when making a judgement, whereas people who are type T are more detached and logical.
Lifestyle: Judgement (J) vs Perception (P): People who are type J tend to rely more on the judging function (ie. feeling or thinking) than type P people, who give more importance to the perception function (sensing or intuition).
Personally, I've consistently scored as an INTJ in pretty much every Myers-Briggs test I've taken (most online, although one was actually a professional test).
You can take an online version of the test
here. It's rather long, however - a much quicker one (but probably less accurate) may be found
here.
