Being in a relationship in general is replete with examples. If I have to describe what they are when being with someone is practically the definition of letting your guard down, then you've never been in a true, loving, worthwhile relationship.

There are so many tiny differentiations between people that are compatible with me. The common grounds are that they are both intelligent and smart, successful and know what they want, independent, and love being with me.

I've never been on what some would call a "date". Not before getting into a relationship, anyhow. I was brought to a beautiful, candlelit restaurant in the keys after being in one, though.

A two-and-a-half month one. But it was also the most enlightening and fun. I had a good time and don't regret it.

Out of two, the year-and-a-half-long one. I also do not regret this one.

There were problems in both of the relationships, one more than the other, but altogether, no, even if just focusing on practical considerations.

I've had dreams about them, and I've had dreams of many other people. I don't really believe that dreams hold any significant meaning.

Late twenties probably.

Depends on how you mean that. I'm usually closed to people I just met and open to those I haven't just met. There's not really a standard, and it certainly hasn't changed much because of relationships. If any change at all, it's probably been for the better.

Love is inexplicable, and it's beyond merely "surprising" or "incredible" that an organ that runs on about 20-100 watts of power can produce such a feeling while still having enough to function normally.

Maybe a family member, but definitely one friend of mine. This only applies if their life was guaranteed in exchange for mine.

It's not really that much of a secret, but I still wouldn't get back together with them for several years.

You can't know if you're into those things or not if you haven't tried them. Life is all about experiencing new things. I can't say that I would or wouldn't enjoy breaking a woman's arm because i've never done it. Nor will I ever try it. You can't compare breaking a law to dating, it's not logical reasoning.

It was simply stated that he needed to get out more, implying that he wouldn't mind getting out and trying something new. No one said he'd like it. Is it needed? No. Is it not needed? Well, that is for that person to decide.

Either way both perspectives are opinions. You can tell him all day that dating is complete bull****.
