Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
Hmm, in elementary and middle school, I was kind of a loner with only a few friends. In high school, I’m a lot more popular and have a good number of people to hang out with. I wouldn’t say that I’m popular and just so happen to make good grades, though; it’s more like I’m popular because I make good grades.

I was never popular and I really never care for it.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
I rose in popularity when I moved from Iowa to Florida (the middle of 6th grade) because the former had much more pollen and I am severely allergic. This resulted in prolific sneezing and coughing. Nobody was my friend in elementary school.
I was also sort of a creepy kid but that's hardly the point. I rose again coming into high school because I entered the I.B. and thus got to hang around smart peers and was presumed to be one of them. Maybe this is true. However, I have always been (and still am) the kid who is well-known but not popular-you could say infamous-due to eccentric acts.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
Yes. I've always had friends in pretty much every clique, but I never really only hung out with one group and thus had the ability to hang out and/or date whoever I wanted. Also everyone in my grade at least knew me, along with most of the grade above me.

I also have friends in every clique, except for the chongas and goths, I guess.
And, Blackpal: Periods. They help.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
Why do people think getting straight A's=being a nerd? I get straight
A's, but I rarely study and just rush through my homework. I have that thing where if I hear it once, I remember it forever pretty much. It annoys me when people will consider me a nerd for that. Anyway, elementary school was ..meh. I don't remember a lot of it, but I know I was extremely shy but I had a good amount of friends. Middle school was probably the worst time in my school-life. I was still really shy and didn't fit into any cliques or anything. Still, I had a good group of friends, but I rarely hung out with them. Now, in high school (which I'm still currently in) I started to become more outgoing and talked a bit more (but I'm still kind of quiet). I have a ton of friends, all of which are as smart as me (we're all in AP classes). They are definately what I would consider the "popular" crowd in my grade (popular and extremely smart, imagine that). Everybody who knows me pretty much loves me. I get along with anybody, really. So, yeah, high school has been much better for me than my earlier years in school.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
Haha. True story.
My friend and I were riding with his mom from school last week, and we saw a girl walking down the stairs of his apartment complex as we were pulling in. I commented on how hot she was. My friend agreed, and we started talking about all the things we'd do to her (we're pretty comfortable with his mom). So after listening to us for a while his mom spits in, "She's 10." lololol. McDonalds is doing wonders for this generation. |

Even though I am still in school, I am still a badass, and the most popular at my school.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
I have never been bullied, and I started getting straight "A"s in about grade 4 or 5. I have never studied.
I was never the most popular or the least popular. Recently, I've been less friendly with people, but by my own choice. I have fewer friends, but I am better friends with them.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
Nah, I was a total band nerd.
I wasn't even popular among them because I hated the instrument I played. XD Although being a band nerd at my school meant having a lot more success than being in the football team (and I mean a lot. Places that our football team could never even dream of going to. XD). So maybe we weren't all of that much outcasts. Still had a football kid tell me that my ring from winning the contest meant nothing compared to somebody's ring from winning nationals in football. I lol'd. I don't know why he felt so compelled to say that. I was never in his face about it or anything. o_O So yeah, personal popularity? There wasn't much. I had my friends in band and that was it. They came about in 10th grade. Before that I didn't really have a even a hint of popularity. My only friends from before then turned on me in the end of 9th grade. But never was I really popular - and I don't care to be. Being popular just means you have a ton of fake friends.

I was friends with everybody.
Well, except the druggies. They were annoying. (Consider though that this wouldn't be difficult when you go to a rather small school.)

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
There really aren't any druggies at my schools. It's pretty prestigious.

Re: Were you a cool kid in school?
My school is full of druggies. A lot of them are my best friends. They're fun and they keep an open mind. They don't try to impress people like everyone else in high school. I've yet to meet anybody more true to themselves than a pothead.
